Id love to go to canada one day but unfortunately i was late to one kf my thrid grade classes yesrs ago snd that went in my record so ill have to go through an hour of questioning 😭
That was actually easy…other people told me they check to see if you have a criminal record and how much money do you have for your stay. I didn’t hear any of that being mentioned towards you hmmm 🤔
@@LifeisAmazingChannel Gotcha! I have felonies over 10 years old and I think I’m gonna try my luck and drive there. From what I’ve been analyzing is, they seem to do all of the background checks etc when you fly to Canada, but when you drive you don’t get much of a hassle at all whatsoever. The only thing they can do is turn me around, I’m gonna roll the dice and see. I also think the best time to go is during rush hour.
They can check for any relevant documentation, ownership and insurance of car, trailer, boats. Rabies/vaccination for any pets. Prescription for any drugs. If it is possible to ask they can, and you must answer. Once you have presented yourself at the border you are committed you can't just decide at some point, nope I want to go back. Although you can ask and they can just let you turn around they are not obligated to do so.

From what I understand the "magic" year is 1977. If you became a Naturalized U.S. Citizen after Feb 14, 1977 you kept your Canadian Citizenship. If you naturalized prior to that date you lost it. A few years back the Canadian Parliement enacted a law where a Canadian who lost his or her citizenship can get it back. High fee.........not worth it. To answer your question when asked where you're from you say N.C. The Officer will see on your U.S. Passport that you were born in Canada.
