Yes this was also on Belgian TV when I was kid...and David McCallum really has special powers - if you know his age now and how he is preserved so well. Fun review.
@@MrSuperphil For me the best preserved actor ever was Louis Jourdan, he was 65 in Octopussy and still looked great, and I saw him in a TV movie where he played a 50 year lawyer when he was 75. He played in many us movies around 1945 too.
I remember watching this in the 1990's. At the time I was disappointed as I was expecting Sapphire and Steel to look like their ITC productions The Saint, Presauders etc to have that 35mm film look. I didn't release until I watched it on video it had that video look like in Dr Who. It was mainly my expectations was it had a bigger production value. Even though it had great acting from David McCallum and Joanna Lumley it was the production value. Over the year it has grown on me.
Cheers mate. Yeah the shows not for everyone. One of my friends doesn’t like it. The Dracula AD 1972 poster will make a return in October, thats the horror HALLOWEEN 🎃 theme month. So look out for it. 😀
Stupendous Sapphire Stupendous Steel. and another stupendous review philip and bones.
Thank you Peter. Love this TV show. Some chilling moments.
Wonderful television show.
Great era for TV and films.
I never really got into this but perhaps I should revisit it because it is rated so high .It is definitely well remembered
Its a great show, but very weird. A lot of stuff is left to the audiences imagination.
Hope you like the review
David McCallum May His Contribution To Films And Television Continue To Entertain . 1933 to 2023
Well said LaL.
Great review
Cheers Mate, glad you enjoyed it.
Some really scary scenes in this TV show. Great review.
Glad you like it.
@@garybryant1501 its also great that they use dull lighting in these shows. Lots of dark shadows.

Fun review.
Cheers Tom. Yes David McCallum has always looked younger than his actual age.
Its strange how some people seem to stay younger than others. Cliff Richard used to look younger too.

It does have a very enclosed cheap look to it. But for me the eerie atmosphere makes up for it. Stories 2 and 4 are my favourites.
Agree with your assessment 100 % . Bones has always got the horn - don't turn your back on him :)
Yes Bones has some scary moments. Glad you enjoyed the review. Great TV show.
@@MrSuperphil Indeed. The story set in the train station is superb , combining the creepy with the surreal .
Yes that ones my favourite. Story 2.
I never took to this show. Always seemed very "video" and weak. Good review though and keep them coming. Miss the Dracula AD 1972 poster!
