    I love working obsidian the best knapping material by far. I’m a world away but with you in spirit.

    Trying to learn knapping on my own and I’m taking a trip to glass buttes for my birthday. Should be a birthday to remember.

    The time lapses, sound editing, everything was spot on man. Really really enjoyed this. Beautiful video

    Looked like the same group of old farts I saw there 8-10 yrs ago ... good that some things don't change much

    Missed it by a week. Just got back. Hopefully the boy's spring break is a week earlier next year and I can make it. Although there wasn't any snow this week!

      Side note. My brother and I were fortunate to have stopped at Glass Buttes one year, by coincidence, when a Knapp In was going. Looked like a lot of fun and tons of cumulative experience.
      Thanks for the video.

      I actually hit the camera- just barely clipped the top. Almost turned into a $500 shot!

    You know, it would be nice if the Puget Sound club would send reminders....

    I’ve never seen knapping before. I’m fascinated! I do have a question, when you find a huge stone, why would you break it up into small pieces? Is it to make the large knives?

    • @aaronwebster3014
      @aaronwebster3014  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, we break the large stones to make large knives, etc.

    I was just here last month. How do i get invited to the knap-in?

    • @aaronwebster3014
      @aaronwebster3014  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oops, I didn’t see this until today. No invitation needed. It starts this friday and goes for 10 days or so- hope to see you there

    Would have been much better if you could have fixed the ungodly high-pitched screeching in the background.
