The dude on the didge was some good sound also the flute Looked like the same group of old farts I saw there 8-10 yrs ago ... good that some things don't change much
Missed it by a week. Just got back. Hopefully the boy's spring break is a week earlier next year and I can make it. Although there wasn't any snow this week!
@@aaronwebster3014 Alrighty 👍 Side note. My brother and I were fortunate to have stopped at Glass Buttes one year, by coincidence, when a Knapp In was going. Looked like a lot of fun and tons of cumulative experience. Thanks for the video.
I’ve never seen knapping before. I’m fascinated! I do have a question, when you find a huge stone, why would you break it up into small pieces? Is it to make the large knives?
I love working obsidian the best knapping material by far. I’m a world away but with you in spirit.
Trying to learn knapping on my own and I’m taking a trip to glass buttes for my birthday. Should be a birthday to remember.
So much fun! I can't wait to see you all again in a couple of months.
The time lapses, sound editing, everything was spot on man. Really really enjoyed this. Beautiful video
thanks, Dan.
No. It sucked

Be careful folks , if you go you won’t want to leave. Good to see some young folks showed up
Excellent video!
I would like to come next time to observe ( and set up a stand as a band-aid vendor ;-)
Please do! Bring plenty of warm clothes ( and bandaids)

I actually hit the camera- just barely clipped the top. Almost turned into a $500 shot!
Thanks for sharing
Thank you
You know, it would be nice if the Puget Sound club would send reminders....
Love the diggridu
Thanks- like all the music, it was recorded at the knap in!
Great video! Date for 2024? I would love to witness spalling some big glass nodules
It’s the last week of March, including both weekends…
💛
Who was that Masked Man with the big copper spalled?

Yep, we break the large stones to make large knives, etc.
I was just here last month. How do i get invited to the knap-in?
Oops, I didn’t see this until today. No invitation needed. It starts this friday and goes for 10 days or so- hope to see you there
Would have been much better if you could have fixed the ungodly high-pitched screeching in the background.
