- Piedmont is a region that lies east of Appalachian and west of the Coastal Plain, from E AL into C NJ.
What would a combo of mountain/terrain enhancement, cold jetstream from the west, and warm Atlantic temperatures result in? An outbreak of unseen proportions across the Piedmont, GA/SC/NC/VA
I would recommend keeping volume medium to high, but always have it on the low side, as there are sound jumpscares - บันเทิง
You blew away my hometown (Amherst County and Lynchburg, VA) AND where I live right now (Kannapolis, NC). Stop stalking me, dude! :)
BTW, I don't think Lynchburg VA has ever been hit by a tornado, which surprises me as weak tornadoes do appear in the Piedmont every several years. Now in '92 I rode out one mother of a downburst with 90 mph winds there, but don't ever remember any confirmed tornadoes in that area.
These videos are some really high-quality documentaries. I love how you add realistic radar coverage to the videos, which makes them way better and more engaging to watch the whole way through.
This is a pretty decent weather scenario. While there is room for improvement, it was still a better scenario than quite a bit of others I’ve seen. You have a lot of potential man. Keep going!

Taking the NASCAR tornado meme to extreme levels. The same tornado mentioned earlier has just hit the NASCAR Hall of Fame in downtown Charlotte and is now headed for not only Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, but Kannapolis as well.
If there's one thing the city of Kannapolis, North Carolina is known for, it's their most famous family.
Even a non-NASCAR fan knows what the last name Earnhardt means!

If you watch a lot of EAS scenarios from some of the regulars here on TH-cam, yeah, it's practically a meme for Lake Norman (Huntersville, Mooresville) and the I-85 corridor NE of Charlotte (Concord, Kannapolis, Salisbury) to get it almost every time. If we're not getting steamrolled by an EF4, we're getting irradiated when the McGuire Nuclear Station blows up. :)

I remember when I was down in the Twin Cities 7 or 8 years ago there was a Severe Thunderstorm Warning so severe (I'm guessing it was a PDS) that the NOAA Weather actually said, 'Outdoor Warning Siren activation is recommended.'
As for backups, Saint Cloud (where I live) has overlapping stations. Saint Cloud has its own (WXL65) bit it's also covered by Clearwater (WNG676) and is on the edge of coverage for Long Prairie (WNG673) and Willmar (WXK44). One night a few years ago I actually got all four on my Midland HH50, impressive VHF DX for that little thing.
I have quite a few Weather Radios. Radio Shack was the king of them for years (considering they *invented* them). I have an original Weather Cube from around 1984 and the last model of cube they made from around 2009, and a 1980 vintage Pocket WeatherRadio Alert, among others.

dont tend to see many eas videos for my area, and like, im literally 25 seconds in, that risk map there puts me rn directly in the higest risk area and its a little funny. people round here thing the mountains mean we dont get tornados but oh man we still get em. gonna listen more now, will reply w updates maybe if i remember
update: i googled and discovered that just as i suspected, most of my area has fuck all in the way of tornado sirens, however one place that does is bedford, which is neat bc ive lived here for over a decade and never knew we had a siren bc theyve never tested it ever. apparently there was a statewide test of sirens march 2022 which only further confused me because i again never heard the test. cool info to have anyways! weird that neither roanoke nor lynchburg have any sirens considering the populations

So, i live in Maryland which is part of the piedmont, and just this week i had to shelter in the basement of a church in the middle of youth group because of one of several tornado warnings. Just a short drive away, a long-track tornado tore a 60-plus mile path accross my county and was on the ground for 2 hours. That just does not happen here.

Great scenario here!!! But of course, I would never want this to actually happen. Especially since my grandmother lives in Greensboro. And I also have family in the Atlanta metro.

North Wilkesboro looks like it’s going to have major damage as well.
Being further east, Rockingham and Darlington are both borderline on damage severity. The slight/enhanced lines run through or right around both places… one or both of them got out mostly spared… I think.

Thought so... here's hoping nobody has to get their cars for Talladega from their headquarters, otherwise EVERY SINGLE NASCAR CUP SERIES TEAM COULD BE WIPED OUT BY A SINGLE TORNADO...ALONG WITH EVERY XFINITY SERIES TEAM!
I asked since all three NASCAR major series races this weekend were at Martinsville Speedway, and the scenario starts less than two hours after the end of the Cup Series race.
1:32 Soratown Mountain? It’s Sauratown Mountain, spelt S A U R A T O W N. However, the name is pronounced as SOURTOWN.
43:47 Turner Field is now Georgia State Football Stadium. While the structure from when it was Turner Field is the same (a bulk of it at least), it’s been heavily reconfigured for football.
You also failed to mention the MLK historic area district in the warning (which is just outside of Downtown Atlanta).
1:12:59 WRAL AND WTVD have always stated their transmission towers being located in AUBURN, NC, not Garner
