He went out cold, he just woke up as soon as he hit the ground. It was just a flash knockdown but I think the ref decided to stop the fight as he was going down. The ref could have given him a second to see if he was gonna recover but I don't think you can call it a bad stoppage either. It was super awkward though.

He had good reason not to accept defeat. He wasn't defeated it was clearly a bad call he was mid-roll and was evidently fully able to defend himself still. However the decision is what it is and the declared winner acted in a very humble manner so respect to him.

A lot of people commenting have never fought. It's an emotional sport. Some fighters can wash themselves of emotion during the event, but some can't. Both can win and neither is better than the other. Because it's emotional, don't judge a fighter too harshly right after a competition (within limits). But also realize that being a good man means doing things you don't want to do.
