Lived here in the Philippines now 8yrs...i have a condo in tagaytay and a house in western visayas...currently spend majority of my time in tagaytay due to the better schools for my son...glad things went in a positive direction for you in this situation...best part is gaining the knowledge and experience on how to address such...the best way to protect yourself is to pay only in stages of progress...when 25% of work is done you pay 25% of total agreed salary...when 50% is done you pay that 50%...last 50% should only be paid after all work is completed to your satisfaction...
yes, it is so common here. We also don’t pay full amount. Always is stages. I hope that more people will go to court after knowing you don’t need a lawyer and spend much money on filling a case. The only thing you need is time and patience.
@@dutchypinoy5137 very true...couldnt agree more...the system here does seem to be designed to be used without much use of lawyers...outside the fact it does seem everything requires an affidavit lol...but i usually can get those for under 1k php..actually found a lawyer in dasma did one for 250php....surprised people use what they call "fixers" for immigration needs or anything else they advertise for filipino passports drivers license etc..best of luck..glad it all worked out for you..the main thing as you mentioned is patience...have that and the knowledge that anything done in a day or two in a first world country will prob take nearly a month here lol
congratulations po🎉👏 . Godbless po Sir

Jazeker, het is heel anders dan in NL. Dat is goed voor Ed, zal wel een mooi afscheid geweest zijn.
