Festive Season | Road and safety operation intensified in Mthatha

A multi-disciplinary road and safety operation has been conducted in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape.
It's part of the continuous effort by the province to make its roads safer and create a safe environment for tourism to flourish.
Nearly 70 people have died on Eastern Cape roads since the start of the festive season.

Not enough personnel. The operations you are seeing comes at a cost of having few members left at police stations to handle high profile crimes and underworld syndicates. When the festive season is over they have to return to handling all those other duties that they postponed.
