@@RandomSonic The dying point seems out of nowhere. Didn't Fortnite just get one of the hugest bumps in players EVER? And during an event that was STRICTLY a collab?
That's a complete lie. I'm a collab complainer and have never once advocated for them no matter the franchise, I don't own a single collab skin. I hate collabs because I want to play Fortnite not a franchise.
i honestly think fortnite will end in a few years, my main reason for thinking this is cause they are focusing too much on collabs now days and i think them also making the omniverse such a big deal also hurts the game imo
They should most def end with ATLEAST chapter 8-9 and just have a huge finale event bringing all the orignal characters and storylines back in some sort of final battle and the last few chapters could be a huge lead up to it, the storylines already kinda wacky but it’s going
I think one thing that they did incredibly well in chapter 4, which should be continued, or even expanded on, are midgame objectives. The addition of loot caches that could give you gold or purple loot, along with a guaranteed insane healing item with the golden slurp juice. Then loot island, which also gave you gold loot, the golden slurp juice, and an overpowered mythic. Then there was the addition of the guys with the cards spawning later in the game, not being a boss that instantly spawned, which, again, gave you gold loot, a mythic, and gold slurp juices. Then, which is probably the one that is exactly how it was back in chapter 4, the forecast towers, where a guard would spawn with henchmen, where if you killed them, you got a card that was used in the tower so that you could see the next zone. Right now, I feel the game is dull after the early game in pubs and ranked, slow gameplay where everyone is over aggressive with no good healing items, no siphon, and just a general lack of guaranteed good loot. I hope Fortnite expands upon midgame objectives and slows down with collabs, so that both aspects are special.
In 2030 Fortnite is changing it's name to Oasis, and at this point Epic already made collabs with every single media existent and the game is just a huge multiverse with everything possible. The rest of the story you already know
@@stephenpedersen1346you know who you can blame that on? Epic. Save the world doesn’t need to be a boring repetitive game mode at all but epic let it become that.
@@lvnxisaight I’m just saying that the first time I played it I thought it was repetitive and boring so I think it was probably like that at release too
Im gonna be honest, Yearly chapters haven't worked, Chapter 4 probably did majority of it best (if it had events) but we need 6-8 seasons instead, or even take a dive and make a map that can last 10 season's, the possibilities could go endlessly and work better, after OG chapter 5 could've been our saviour, yet it failed hard, S1 and 2 lacked things, S3 and 4 were ok but flawed, then Remix was enjoyable after witnessing the finale
Issue was that ch5 had a change with writers, so it just felt inconsistent I feel they're genuinely trying to tie things back in ch6 with old storylines returning
Idk when Fortnite will end but I’m glad it hasn’t ended yet I’m almost 20 Fortnite has been around for like 7 years of my life I’ve played it from the start it would feel weird if it died
@@JaydenHall12 since chapter 3 island just blowed up and we had fracture everyone realized that ch3s4 was rushed and that chapter 3 was supposed to have 8 seasons, just like chapter 2. Chapter 4 seasons were likely supposed to happen during ch3, since it was leaked that we should've had neo tokyo, jungle and I think a heist themed season too, which are seasons from ch4. Also in v31.41 the rave cave head randomly appeared on the island and the ch3s4 map on version v22.40 (last ch3 update) randomly appeared in the game files, so people theorised epic games could be working something on it. During remix, hope says that her paintings can predict the future. Since the prellude event, she painted a tv with an eye (the nothing), slone and an UFO in many places. And also the last thing that makes me feel ch3 returning is that almost everyone agrees that it has such a potential to be the best chapter. The map changes were really good, no overpowered items every season, best storyline and because it ended too early.
@@JW0819 this is why I personally like yearly chapters. If I dislike a season I can wait not too long for it to be over and if a chapter/season is good, I have to appreciate and love it more due to its limited availability.
As long as they have collabs to pump the game up with, they will go on. Even if it gets to a point where they are running out of options, there will always be some niche collab OR just another og/remix season. The best way to genuinely keep the game alive is to actually listen to your fucking community, fortnite
If it does end, I want the game to still be running, and you could choose a season you wanted to play. For example if you wanna play chapter 2 szn 3, you can do that, if you wanted to play chpt 4, you could.
Ye that would be cool. Like how pc minecraft was (it may still be I just dk I haven't played it in about a year) but when you open the launcher you can select versions you wanna play. But the bad thing is if someone wants to go back to a season there may not be alot of people playing that. So bots may have to be a thing there. 🤷♂️
Nah they just need to cycle through chapters/seasons each month or something like that. Therefore you won’t run into the issue of the player base being way too spread out to the point most seasons would just be dead.
I joined for good in May 2024. Honestly, having the perspective I have with downloading it on my PS4 in Sept 2017 when it first came out, I like it more now than back when it started. I do agree, overall their needs to be a true dedicated storyline associated for the game to really keep its base intact. But outside of that, it is what it is and I like it. Good video though. As somebody who wasnt the biggest fan of Fortnite from 2017-2023, your perspective helps tremendously and I value your points. It is so interesting to see people who started and loved when the game started to now with altering opinions.
Time traveler travels back to 2024 : Ayo which saga we are rn in fortnite?? Me:do u mean which chapter we are in? Time traveler:no man ,I mean which saga....there are like 400 chapters in each saga do u think I am a gaming historian?? 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Heres my personal take 1. I don't think the metaverse is hurting fortnite in the way we think it is tbh donald himself event wanted the metaverse as it was his idea since 2017 2. I think fortnite will always have br maybe they wont support it but like you said they might end br after 10 and let players pick the maps they wanna play on or something i could see that happening as well 3. Tbh fortnite never had a true identity no matter what we want to think or believe if it had a true identiy then a survival zombie game is what it would be as thats what it was meant to be orginally Other than that i got nothin😭
Honestly wish we lived in the timeline where fortnite harnessed the full potential of all the seasons, themes, maps, chapters, and collabs, like having more mythics, and properly ordered collabs with events, and having chapter 3 be longer, so that future chapters could have been better. i feel that it’s probably gonna have a reset after chapter 10/X, like a complete reboot, and i hope that they try to redo some chapters in some ways, so that they could build upon the mistakes they had done in “book 1”(??)
A game saying "Season 30" is really weird to me. Chapters work well as not making ridiculous season numbers but we might just end up with the same thing. COD Mobile just resets the season number every year, but they do monthly seasons instead of four (plus one) a year.
Like they did with og, i really wanna see some concept where they just bring back every map at one point, except I believe they should let you play on whatever map from whatever chapter and whatever season without making you hate to wait a certain number of months just to replay your favorite season with only a month or two’s time to take it all back in.
I think each chapter should give a full and complete story with as many seasons as it needs, whether that means 4 or 10 seasons. This would solve many issues
chapter three definatly would've had more than four seasons if Donald Mustard stayed, he just had to rush the chapter three storyline since he was leaving soon (hense why the fracture was terrible)
I remember when I was a teenager during fortnite chapter 2 this used to be the only game I would play but now I’m more thrilled to play other games like borderlands 4 & dying light the beast than fortnite chapter 6
I think fortnite should end in chapter 10 and should be called chapter X. And after that I think they should make a game mode where you can play any chapter and season you want
That would make the game ridiculously large in file size. I think a better alternative would be to make it where you can install any of the 10 chapters and each chapter cycles through each season just like how it used to when they were originally live
eventually they’ll have the same answer that they did with a high Season count and start making Parts or something. next thing you know we’ll have Fortnite: Series 2 Part 3 Chapter 6 Season 4
In chapter 10, the battle royale storyline will end. From chapter 11 forward, there won't be chapters. The battle royale will stay on 1 map. They won't need to make any modes, because they have creative and uefn with children working for them. Epic will only add collab skins etc. In the end, fortnite could become locked behind a paywall. You would have to buy the crew to get acces to some gamemodes which would make them more money. I just miss the old simple battle royale + ltms + poorly made creative islands. This was peak.
@@Phantom42928 when nobody plays this game once the brain rotted children grow up then nobody will collab with them then the game will die and then shut down
@shameontwitch imagine they pull some crazy like adding an actual gta like mode in chapter 10 or hell even a red dead type of mode💀😭 theyd make bank especially rockstar would
it feels like in chapter 5 something bigger than a chapter happened like all chapters before have something in common and all after something in coomon
Yeah In chapter 1 there were like not even 5 collab skins. Chapter 2 had a lot more, probably over 50. I was already irritated by collabs by c2s2. But it wasn’t terrible. But now like every other skin is a collab. There’s probably more collabs than originals atp.
With them adding renegade raider and possibly old battle passes, I really feel like this is the beginning of the end. I remember being told months ago that reselling old battle passes was a tactic dying games used so idk 🤷♂️.
as a guy who started c5s1-ish I feel like if Fortnite locked in they could really keep their game going. I looked back in old story with the IO, The Seven, the.. Uh cube..? It was so cool. Chapter 5 seems like it tries to change its story every chapter. We went from the Society which came out of no where to their leader opening pandoras box to greek gods to bringing in the wastelander, don't get me wrong, The whole society, Megalo Don and Doom trying to "fight" over pandoras box was cool but epic could have kept both Megalo Don and Dooms power much longer like how the IO stretched for 2 chapters. It would be cool to have half a chapter with Megalo Don having control over the box, and after that half maybe doom comes in and for another like 3 seasons he could have used pandoras powers we were just left on a quick "wrap it up, your time is up" ending where epic itself didn't know what to do, they really had Doom killed so quickly, the same doom who killed many heros and villains they could have had Doom maybe kill off the group Hope and Jones built up and have them retreat to chapter 6 to try and recruit more people to fight Doom. We could have stuck with the 4 seasons a chapter thing and change the map after the chapter that would still be awesome I like to think where Epic is going with this whole chapter thing is every chapter is a different world, since chapter 4? Okay I'm starting to lose what I'm saying but I think Epic should keep their villains a lot longer than just 1 season, thats how they can make their chapter fun again, have the villain stay for a whole chapter or two if they must, thats what would make it rememberable because we'd think about old chapters and think "oh chapter 5, the start of the society" (I'm still ticked off they didn't build up the society more) and "oh chapter 6, Greek gods invade" cuz it doesn't take 4 months to plan a whole battle against gods and super-human beings
Personally I feel like it will keep going, I feel like after chapter 9 it’s going to turn into book 1, chapter 1, season 1 Which is a mouth full but could be a nice way to continue. And I would be completely alright with them reusing older chapter themes, as long as they differentiate them. Or fuse chapter themes together, but that’s just what I think.
I'm gonna say around 9 chapters made by Epic. As the game will be 10 years old by the time chapter 9 arrives I think Epic is gonna ask for help from the community to make new chapters and seasons or we restart back to chapter 1.
Another reason yearly chapters were better I wouldve done 2 year chapters, and then every like 10 chapters couldve been a whole new story and call it a venture or something Venture 2 chapter 1 season 7 frfr
This whole 1 year chapter thing can really make people bored of the game and it can make the game feel repetitive and stale. When chapter 2 came out, people were going crazy over it because it was fresh and new. But now since every year there is a completely new map it just doesn’t feel the same after every new chapter comes out. I feel like the length of chapter 1 and 2 was perfect because it gave people enough time to get attached to them, and now since there is less time in between chapters people become less fond of the recent chapters.
They should've kept it 10 seasons a chapter. The fact they aren't is really weird to me. Also? I don't mind the collabs. They are cool sometimes and they bring in old players and new ones too. I personally would like a Breaking Bad collab, One Piece, and a personal one... Days Gone. Those would be cool. But, that's just me. I also really think fortnite won't die, the collabs will keep it afloat, same with the fact the game is becoming roblox 2.0. But, yeah... I don't know. This is a weird one to talk about. It also doesn't help that I'm not really invested in the game, like at all. I have no clue what the "lore" of fortnite even is. Or why people like or don't like what's changed. I haven't kept track of fortnite since season 8. So, yeah.... That should hopfully explain something. Oh! I will say modern fortnite is easier... That's something I've noticed. Okay, I've rambled. Peace.
Honestly, I stopped caring about the game a while ago. But the times I had still hold a special place in my heart. In my personal opinion, I think where they went wrong was definitely shorter chapters and disarranged story telling, because part of the heart of Fortnite was always the complex and often perplexing story that led to some extravagant and bold live event that would completely change the expectations of the capabilities of live service games each and every time. It's not groundbreaking anymore. That's where they lost the charm. Just another live service game in what is now a long list
Think about this Fortnite goes back to a art style similar to what most players are familiar with the chapter 1 art style but modernize it so it feels old and new then build upon older concepts already established in the game instead of adding and adding more. Do collabs less and when doing collabs make them feel special include a ltm, poi, weapon, also put a Fortnite twist on the ip being collabed with instead of just throwing it in the game. Set all focus on main br updating it consistently maybe hire more employees to push updates out more frequently. Also be more creative and think outside the box there’s still many possibilities. Always add more to the story make the stakes lower instead of it being about the end of all reality. Make chapters 6 seasons long and while telling the story build up to something big about half way through maybe a live event and then conclude that part and connect it to the second half of the story where the stakes would be even higher.
How do you feel about Fortnite right now and what do you think its future is gonna be like?

That's a complete lie. I'm a collab complainer and have never once advocated for them no matter the franchise, I don't own a single collab skin. I hate collabs because I want to play Fortnite not a franchise.
i honestly think fortnite will end in a few years, my main reason for thinking this is cause they are focusing too much on collabs now days and i think them also making the omniverse such a big deal also hurts the game imo
yeah its gonna just be a universal platform for different games at this rate
Ur right
Most of us wont even play it in a few years....
What’s wrong with collabs
If anything it'll grow actually
nah we should just get fortnite 2 at this point 😭
lmao
Same thing with Overwatch and Warzone lol
@2am_stonksfn so fortnite og was basically a remaster lol
I pray that this chapter especially gets 8-10 seasons
In 2030 Fortnite is changing it's name to Oasis, and at this point Epic already made collabs with every single media existent and the game is just a huge multiverse with everything possible. The rest of the story you already know
After 10 chapters we'll get a new "book". Book 2 Chapter 1 Season 1.
Fortnite: Save the World should be the core game mode smh, battle royale was a free spinoff originally.
Only problem is save the world is repetitive and mid
@@stephenpedersen1346you know who you can blame that on? Epic. Save the world doesn’t need to be a boring repetitive game mode at all but epic let it become that.
@@lvnxisaight wasn’t it repetitive and boring from day one though?
@@stephenpedersen1346 it wasn’t because it was new.
Agreed, they just need to switch up frequently to keep it exciting and learn from past issues
@RaphooComix yep, otherwise it's just a quantity over quality issue
Issue was that ch5 had a change with writers, so it just felt inconsistent
I feel they're genuinely trying to tie things back in ch6 with old storylines returning
Idk when Fortnite will end but I’m glad it hasn’t ended yet I’m almost 20 Fortnite has been around for like 7 years of my life I’ve played it from the start it would feel weird if it died
I still hope they'll continue chapter 3 sometime
How
@@JaydenHall12By returning to chapter 3?
@@OldBenKenobi2318 yeah but how are they just going to go back off the bat
@@jaozin_batata3384 I already knew like 90% of that
And chapter 2 has the best storyline
Ok but think about it. Lets say we have a horrible horrible chapter and you have to sit through it for 2 years
@@JW0819 this is why I personally like yearly chapters.
The fact that epic brought back both cinematic and gameplay trailers makes me want them to bring back the secret part of secret skin
@ ye i was thinking that too
Nah they just need to cycle through chapters/seasons each month or something like that. Therefore you won’t run into the issue of the player base being way too spread out to the point most seasons would just be dead.
Fortnite might be history in the making tho it might be that one game that just continues to thrive like Minecraft
Time traveler travels back to 2024 :
Ayo which saga we are rn in fortnite??
Me:do u mean which chapter we are in?
Time traveler:no man ,I mean which saga....there are like 400 chapters in each saga do u think I am a gaming historian??
💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Heres my personal take
1. I don't think the metaverse is hurting fortnite in the way we think it is tbh donald himself event wanted the metaverse as it was his idea since 2017
2. I think fortnite will always have br maybe they wont support it but like you said they might end br after 10 and let players pick the maps they wanna play on or something i could see that happening as well
3. Tbh fortnite never had a true identity no matter what we want to think or believe if it had a true identiy then a survival zombie game is what it would be as thats what it was meant to be orginally
Other than that i got nothin😭
Chapter 100: the 100 year old boys: boys you ready for the Pepa pig event?
Love to see what they do with Ballistic. I like the aiming mechanics. Hope they add more games modes
they definitely need to spice it up with their own additions so that it isnt so similar to other games
I really miss the chapter 1 was having 10 seasons but I was getting boring at season 9 but I reallt miss this concept having 10 seasons
At this point it might just be like the movie ready player one
A game saying "Season 30" is really weird to me. Chapters work well as not making ridiculous season numbers but we might just end up with the same thing. COD Mobile just resets the season number every year, but they do monthly seasons instead of four (plus one) a year.
Like they did with og, i really wanna see some concept where they just bring back every map at one point, except I believe they should let you play on whatever map from whatever chapter and whatever season without making you hate to wait a certain number of months just to replay your favorite season with only a month or two’s time to take it all back in.
The night of the consumers theme with chapter 4 really hit the spot dude, underrated backdrop fr
7 seasons are good enough. It’s not as long as 10 or as short as 4. The perfect balance in my opinion
I think each chapter should give a full and complete story with as many seasons as it needs, whether that means 4 or 10 seasons. This would solve many issues
Bruh I remember getting to even Season 10 was huge… and just in four years maybe Chapter 10… it’s too weird man
chapter three definatly would've had more than four seasons if Donald Mustard stayed, he just had to rush the chapter three storyline since he was leaving soon (hense why the fracture was terrible)
I wouldnt be surprised if every 10 chapters they added a new thing before seasons (_____ 1 Chapter 1 season 1
Thats what I was just thinking lol it would fix the main problem with too many chapters
"Fortnite Book 2: Chapter 1, Season 1"
I remember when I was a teenager during fortnite chapter 2 this used to be the only game I would play but now I’m more thrilled to play other games like borderlands 4 & dying light the beast than fortnite chapter 6
I honestly believe that chapters should be a year and a half. You have a mix of both worlds, and it wont always start with remix.
I think fortnite should end in chapter 10 and should be called chapter X. And after that I think they should make a game mode where you can play any chapter and season you want
The game would die in a week if they did, it's a live service game they'll keep going until they can't
Every season of x should be one of the best maps or mixed idk
That would make the game ridiculously large in file size. I think a better alternative would be to make it where you can install any of the 10 chapters and each chapter cycles through each season just like how it used to when they were originally live
That’s a horrible idea. The game would need to cycle through chapters/seasons so the player base wouldn’t be spread out too thin.
Maybe one day, perhaps after Chapter 10, maybe they might so something like Fortnite Book 2 lmao
All shits and giggles until book 2 pops out
eventually they’ll have the same answer that they did with a high Season count and start making Parts or something. next thing you know we’ll have Fortnite: Series 2 Part 3 Chapter 6 Season 4
I doubt epic will do any of this imo they dont need to add a paywall because they know they can make money from just making skins in general
@@Phantom42928 when nobody plays this game once the brain rotted children grow up then nobody will collab with them then the game will die and then shut down

Its gotten so bad to the point where I still don’t know what chapter or season we’re in right now
I think Fortnite could have a 2 year season but have longer battle passes so they have more quality while keeping people’s likings.
i love to see the alfaoxtrot influence
I have a feeling fortnite is gonna change their name in a few years to "The Metaverse" and be a gaming platform/hub like roblox
Yeah and fortnite as a game will just be a part of it
@benmarley3086 yeah
it feels like in chapter 5 something bigger than a chapter happened like all chapters before have something in common and all after something in coomon
Fortnite is probably gonna go
for another 4 years and then shut down because the collabs are getting out of hand
it definitely wont shut down but its gonna be a very different game with oversaturation
I wouldnt say shutdown more of become the game we never knew it would if that makes sense
Yeah
In chapter 1 there were like not even 5 collab skins.
Fr
They didn’t return an old battle pass. They returned a seasonal shop.
I’m pretty sure they legally can’t return battlepasses.
Good vid unc 🔥
If fortnite some how still makes it the next 20 years then at that point the only thing that can kill fortnite is the matrix or something
tbh this is why i only play OG because i like the old maps.

as a guy who started c5s1-ish I feel like if Fortnite locked in they could really keep their game going.
Personally I feel like it will keep going, I feel like after chapter 9 it’s going to turn into
book 1, chapter 1, season 1
Which is a mouth full but could be a nice way to continue.
WTF 😂😭💀 7:46
I didn’t even process this the first time I saw it
Another reason yearly chapters were better
I wouldve done 2 year chapters, and then every like 10 chapters couldve been a whole new story and call it a venture or something

They need to bring a zombies survival mode, I know the real og fortnite is still up but barely anyone knows about it
This whole 1 year chapter thing can really make people bored of the game and it can make the game feel repetitive and stale.
As long as fortnite keeps bringing in goated season launches
Imagine telling someone playing chapter 2/3 season 1 that fortnite will be in chapter 6 before 2025
I've been playing fortnite since chapter 1 season 3
They're gonna make a fortnite 2 in the distant, distant future.
Peace.

Cant wait for Tom Clancy’s Fortnite volume 2 chapter 6 season 4 deluxe edition and knuckles
It will go until people don't want to play the game anymore.
After chapter 10 they’ll close book 1 and start book 2
Honestly, I stopped caring about the game a while ago. But the times I had still hold a special place in my heart. In my personal opinion, I think where they went wrong was definitely shorter chapters and disarranged story telling, because part of the heart of Fortnite was always the complex and often perplexing story that led to some extravagant and bold live event that would completely change the expectations of the capabilities of live service games each and every time. It's not groundbreaking anymore. That's where they lost the charm. Just another live service game in what is now a long list
I think we will have "season" < "chapter" < "episode"
@@blotisserie change episode with book mabye? 😃
It’s really simple, don’t make maps to over the top, make them like how the Chapter 1, 2, and 3 maps were
The chapters are getting shorter, I won't be surprised when chapters become less than 3 seasons long.
In my opinion my favorite periods of fortnite: Chapter 1, a small Bit of Chapter 2, and Chapter 4
Chapter 3 is goated tho
i think about this i also used to wonder what if fortnite just kept going without all the chapters and stuff
Fortnite Book 2! And then they'll just change the game name after Book 10!
I think Fortnite will definitely be gone by the end of the decade.
Feels like we're playing Fortnite with mods
idk i think epic games is just making so many different modes so players have a lot of things to play incase br dies in the future
