Damn, this man just invented 2 speed bikes! I have an idea. What if we could control the shifting from the handlebar? Also, could it be possible, to add 1, 2, or even more speeds to this system? 🤔
Makes sense to me. As I’m not really into racing, and being more of a conservative city based guy, I mostl often ride on flat city ground. For flat city riding in my 7 - sprocket MTB, I basically just prefer to use two gears most often. Keeping my chain on my 16 tooth rear sprocket and simply shifting crossover on two of my front chain rings.( 34 - 48t) vise versa. However I seldom get to fully use my multi gear system only on occasional long road trips where there is some climbing involved and rugged terrain. To me there really isn’t a standard “right gear.” Depends really on the rider. Just select gears you’re comfortable with.
I like it, I use a single speed bike and sometimes I wish I had a double sprocket to help me go up hills. Also, the fact that it does not have a cable takes care of the minimalism of the bicycles like this. PS: Excuse my English, I'm using Google translator. Greetings from Peru.

Yes I think maybe a lever would be cool for some people if they decided to operate while riding , for me , what I intended was to be able to ride it like a single speed with the option of 2 gears , a high and low , maybe when you want a hard ride you switch to high and if you want easy ride u go on low.
