I get up and pray and do my Bible study so I end up going for an hour or more on that because I’m retired now and that’s how I end up going in my bathrobe too long lol But I’ll try because I know God wants me out if that bathrobe for half the day too
FlyLady is so right! She trained me to get up and get dressed in the morning about 15 years ago and it has changed me to get up and get moving first thing in the morning and getting my day off to a good start.
I have been following your step of getting up and getting dressed to lace up shoes. I wear a pair of black, canvas shoes which I bought about two years ago. Last year, a little hole appeared in the toe of the left shoe so this January I bought another pair of black walking shoes to wear whenever I go outside. I was about to throw out the shoes with a hole at the toes; and then, I thought I could mend that hole. To make this story short, yesterday, I darned up the little hole in my left shoe and I can still wear those shoes around the house. 💔
Once a husband has to get everywhere in a power wheelchair, mats can't be used by a door, no carpets or rugs, so worrying about some little amounts of dirt from the bottoms of shoes seems trivial. His wheels can drag in a lot, and they create black wheel marks , very long and if he's been through any hot blacktop, that can be really hard to mop up. Please just be thankful for some dirt from all shoes that can be vacuumed or mopped rather easily., And that you aren't dealing with wheels .
Wearing shoes and good socks has changed my knee health and saved me from nasty painful clauses. Today is my self care lazy day. I'm wearing hisue shoes and I almost tripped twice... Not effective for actually getting work done! ❤❤❤ get dressed.. 😅

I HAVE Diabetes and only wear white sock in our home.
I'm careful..no little tabs on bottom...hurts
