How on Earth have I gone through so many guitar videos on TH-cam without finding this guy!?!? This short video just made a load of stuff click for me, great little lesson,
This lesson just connected a couple dots for me, and I appreciate it! It’s amazing how a little bit of information, especially when it comes to playing guitar and theory can tie it all together with a nice pretty bow right on top! Thanks!
I've begun saving your lessons. They are really useful. Congratulations on a great library of informative stuff. Wish I'd found you years ago but better late than never. Stay well.
I got about 2 minutes into this video and hit the subscribe button so hard I think I broke it. This is THE exact thing I was looking for. Thanks & I can't wait to check out your channel.
So glad to hear that zeillion, thanks for the positive note and the sub. I’ll keep the lessons coming, both here and at Patreon.com/Swiftlessons. Have fun! -Rob
You Sir are A-1 at what you do. Doing in months what no one showed me so easily in over 10 years trying to sound jazzy and BB in particular. Got Jimi and SRV down on my own but these videos broke the jazz barrier for a self taught like me. Much appreciated. Cannot stress that enough
It is very easy. If someone says you Amajor or any major key, just put your finger tree frets back and play its minor pentatonics...For example , over a backing track in key of C major you can play all of A minor pentatonic shapes or over A major , you can play F# minor pentatonics
Enthralling! I'm not in that dimension (arthritis/late start / using a parlor guitar) but it's still enriching. The blues is immensely fruitful and rewarding. Thanks Rob for your dedicated playing👍 🎶🎶🎶
Sir - This was a very good intermediate guitar lesson. It methodically brings into focus the concept of using different soloing techniques (chromatics, caged, scales, arpeggios) to build useful and melodic solos. Very nicely done, just subbed after recently thinking I had more than enough good YT Instructors. Plan to check out your website and Patreon more thoroughly as well . Great work.
Very tasteful, lick, easy to put into practice. Love your phrasing....the music speaks the blues. Thank you so much for sharing this. Much appreciated!!
Agree......and I got a lot of tasty stuff of yours as well at my practice playlist........and I'm 66y.o. Blues is the language keeping the generations together. Cheers from Denmark
So glad to hear that Christopher, thanks for the positive note. I’ll keep the lessons coming, both here and at Patreon.com/Swiftlessons. Have fun and take care! -Rob
As always great lesson!! Especially for those of us still working on mastering the caged system. If you could come up with a similar lick for each position of the CAGED it would make a great lesson. More fun and applicable to soloing than practicing arpeggios. Thank you, Woody
Hey thanks Henry, I’m so glad you’re enjoying this lesson, teaching bluesy leads is a great pleasure for me. Please consider sharing. Many more are on the way. Be well! -Rob
