Nice hope you like the sequel as much even though I’m hearing it’s a huge step down from the first one but yeah I love the first Moana movie first 2 times didn’t like it but really grew on me on the third watch

Awesome review Ollie, I have a widely different opinion on Moana to me this is one of Disney's most overrated not as bad as Wreck It Ralph just meh it's no Frozen. Visually it's gorgeous and Where No One Goes and Your Welcome are nice songs and I love how Mowie's tattoos are 2d animated. But the plot feels derivative of other Disney classics like Moana's father is King Triton rip off and there's a lack of a antagonist so the stakes feel lower here than other Disney movies. I also got bored in the middle act. We'll see if the sequel can be better!

I have the same thoughts as you. Moana is a great movie but not quite flawless. To me, I think Zootopia is a lot better. Otherwise, I can say it has held up well after 8 years since I saw it in ODEON Cinemas in 3D with my mom.
