Hey, so here's something neat i just discovered about H'el. Scott Lobdell, H'el's creator, stated in an interview that H'el was originally meant to be the new 52 incarnation of Bizarro, but DC thought it was so "bizarre" and idea that H'el just became his own thing., after Goeff Johns made his own Bizarro in Forever Evil. That's why he has grey skin and has a backwards "S" on his chest. He was meant to be Bizarro! or at least the Scott Lobdell version of him.
I did read that people were saying he said that, but I couldn't find the interview itself so I didn't want to make the claim in the video, but it did explain some things. I guess the thing that makes the most sense is that the revision was made after this comic was already out, so all signs here were pointing to bizarro, and then that all had to be ignored for future stories because Geoff Johns created his own bizarro.
@@CaptainAway if we need actual logic to explain it's disappearance, you can probably say that being that close to the sun would likely heal the scar, as everytime Kryptonians visit, it seems to burn out any infection or disease they may have, which makes me think no matter how deep a wound, the superhealing would take care of it. Not sure if that lines up with the panels, but it seems to disappear after he goes there.
@Michael Havoc That’s a great theory and makes a lot of sense, but I think the idea the comic tries to give is that H'el is attracted to Kara and wants her to be attracted to him, so he uses his weird psychic powers to make himself appear less deformed in other people's eyes, which is why at the end of the story his S briefly reappears because he's near defeat and can't hold onto the power needed to continue hiding his deformity. I probably should have mentioned that in the review but I think I couldn't find the panels were this was implied. Or it might not have been implied until the sequel, Krypton Returns.
Oh yeah I remember this trainwreck of a crossover it was really stupid and made no sense and as a fan of the Superman family It did nobody any failures, plus new 52 superboy series was just garbage and made no sense.
I have a crush on Silver Banshee. Tell me more. Dude, what's an omniologist? Is that like a doctor of everything? You don't get to do that. A FEW MINUTES LATER Holy cats It actually is a word. I could get a certificate of omniology from the California Institute of Omniology at omniology.com!!!!! ....but my point is that she's really hot. Teach me, Dr. Shea Veritas. She sounds so truthful and . . . moisturized. Yowza. I also like that she's got what other women in this comic don't have: a decent pair of pants. Or, in H'el's case, a shirt....ever. Hey, does H'el look like Danzig? Wearing your scar backwards is so hip hop. Ok, Is it just me or is he always depicted in a super sexy pose? It feels really intentional. Ooh, look, Kara must really love mcr. I hope he doesn't "accidentally" strangle her to death with his front cape...apron...capron. It feels like women are being systematically denied comfortable pants. I would like to see a comic about a woman wearing a comfortable, unsexy, supportive pair of reinforced leggings. Since you are, of course, obsessed with Supergirl's outfit... I think the knee cutouts are actually to help her be able to move and bend her legs better. Fyi, If you wear a really high pair of boots, you notice that your legs get a little stiffer. One Punch Man is boring. Kryptonians and Starfire are like a solar powered calculator: useless only if plot reasons. Science facts: Triple helices incl. triplex DNA and triplex RNA 🧬🧬🧬🧬
The whole 'resurrecting Krypton' thing is weak. Kara had no choice but to shove that Kryptonite crystal into H'El's chest because he was such a shit character.
I honestly love your channel. Thanks for breaking these stories down
personally, I really liked this story especially superman's bod at the beginning ;)
Absolutely underrated channel. Holy shit you need more subs and views.

Look man I get that alot of people didn't like this version of superman but if you had to be honest what were the good things about this superman.
Well I think that HE'L would make a great DC MULTIVERSE action figure. I mean he seems to be a problem for Superman.

More narrating, less sarcasm would help.
