I can never understand when people just give up on D. I am not the best player on 2K but I try my best to at least contain my matchup so I can contribute to the team's hopeful success. If my shot is not falling that only motivates me to defend with more intensity because I feel that I got to make up for it. I am with you Till I can never get my head around people just giving up.

The biggest reason for bad defense is bad offense. I am seeing guards driving the lane constantly with three guys in the paint and open shooters in the corner. They get blocked and their man is already leaked out for the easy layup/dunk because he doesn't have to play defense. The open guys at the top of the arc don't run back to cover the guard's guy and the open shooters don't run back because they are chuffed that the guard has tunnel vision.
It like every new season of 2K playin wit randoms gets worse and worser in the REC
