Great video Robert! Been a long time since we were at John's Pass, and we only live about 1.5 hrs north of there! Need to get the RV out, but sooooo many snowbirds, we like the state parks but can't get in them this time of the year so guess we will wait a little while longer.. Will be watching for the next vid! John's Pass is well known for their seafood restaurants. I haven't been there for a long, long time but your video is making me want to get back there!
If you are traveling by RV and just want to spend the day at St Pete beach, you can park your RV at s&p parking lot central Ave and 1st for three dollars per parking spot you use., Then walk one block to the free trolley on 1st Ave it will take you to the beaches...you can even take your bicycle on the trolley...it was no hassle and I had a great day at pass a grille beach...hope this helps someone.
+John keim The Sony is the newest one the FDR-X3000. I also have a GoPro Hero 3 White Edition and an HTC RE. For regular handheld video I use a Sony FDR-AX200 and sometimes I just use my phone.

My best tip would be take your time driving down the Overseas Highway. There's almost something interesting in every single key...oh and the seafood is great!

Hi Robert, I know this is a little off the present video, but did you ever get your hot water heater fixed ? they just fixed mine under a new recall and it works perfect, it takes less than 15 seconds to start getting hot water. For my first trip perfect

Hello Robert, Needing some help on replacing older rv vent covers. My issue is the putty around them is like concrete and it's cold here in Kentucky. I have a rubber roof. You think a heat gun or hair dryer would warm it up and loosen putty? Do you know a helpful solution? Thank you and keeping traveling
Heat gun might help... or wait until summer 😀☀️ I don't really know, never had to deal with the cold weather, but someone here might know a better solution.

Beach camped retro style in a rented '70s vintage VW bus in that area about a year and a half ago. Loved Madeira Beach/John's Pass.
Great views from the bridge. Thanks for including the cost of the campground. It makes me feel like its really okay to splurge once in a while.

Maybe I spoke to soon reference keeping camera lens clean after seeing it got condensation on it. All in all it still appeared to remain debris free.
+JD I do have to clean it periodically. The GoPro never got as much condensation on it.
