I enjoyed the video. He’s a grown man. He likes to have a few drinks with friends. He cares enough about his fans to randomly jump on lives and thank us for our support. As people, we grow & change - he will too. I’m happy for him. He knows he’s not going to make every single fan happy all the time but he works so hard. Never forget that. He's trying to convey to army in the most polite and non hurtful way possible. He values his relationship with army and will do nothing to jeopardize that. Hes at a very happy, pivotal point in his life, but also conflicting. Clearly, hes in a very happy relationship from the looks of it and from his interview last week and the "love of my life" comment. He spent some time fidgeting with his couples ring and bracelet. (While reiterating his age)Hes very careful with his words. Around the 30:00 he talks about being mindful not to hurt people's feelings but also asked whether life is about making HIMSELF happy or OTHERS happy? Also how happiness is often one sided. (What makes him happy probably wont make fans very happy).
He also constantly put Army in the "friend" zone and reiterated it throughout the live. "Let's go with a real friend vibe; welcome me with this vibe like a friend; communicating a lot with all of you like a friend," etc. He doesn't want to be admired like a boyfriend, just a friend. There's a reason for that. He's curious as to "why" he's loved and is more than obvious that he's concerned that the more he reveals, that this love and support will go away. Like, will you still love me when you find out I'm no longer single and want to be seen and thought of as your friend and nothing more? He's testing the waters to see if it's safe for him to reveal this to army and again, is trying to do it in the most gentle way possible. Hes the happiest Ive seen him in awhile. However, revealing the WHY could have ill consequences for him and he knows that. Sad but true! However something still seems "off." He's unsure of his future still despite his current success. What was really telling was when he mentioned working hard to make people stay and earn armys love. That broke my heart! He's afraid this will go away and that lots of people may just love the THOUGHT of him rather than the real him. When he talked about being happy and healthy and that he hopes everyone has these moments in their lives, but acknowledged that finding it takes work, showed a new level of maturity and his view on relationships imo. He wants to be free......and he's encouraging army to do the same.....comfortably! I wish him well on this adventure and I hope everything personally and professionally works out for him. He deserves nothing less!
I caught all of this too. I feel like if ARMY truly loves and supports him they won’t have any problem with him revealing his relationship. Army has to know that obviously he can’t be our “boyfriend” and that’s just being realistic. He’s about to be 26 he’s not getting younger so naturally he’s going to want to find love and there’s nothing Army can do but be happy for him and still love him the same regardless because he will always love Army and that should be good enough until the end of time.

Jk...unapologetically being himself...and I have decided to embrace that... because at least he's honest... and as fans we do have a choice to accept him as he is...or reject him and his message...even with the new song...he's given us a choice...I have my preference...but I won't judge him or anyone about what's already out there with the other version...Like I said before...he is at least honest...and in a world where people often hide behind the truth...and show many fake faces...It's refreshing to see Jk at least being authentic and imo totally relatable... As a fan, I love Jk the person...not perfect but still beautiful..because at the end of the day...ALL humans make mistakes in life and none of us are perfect! I could tell from his body language when that question about the explicit lyrics came up that he was nervous. I honestly believe he has conflicted feelings about it. I hope he's not being influenced by others to change or do it because you're grown, or whatever. A part of him may be regretting it now, and he's trying to justify it by mentioning his age. If you're going to do something like that when you've been an Idol and your image is squeaky clean, you need to be sure in your gut that you really want to do it, not be influenced by others.
I dont think he’s nervous because he’s unsure but he knows whatever he does or says will be magnified and people like you will assume things rather than let him express himself naturally. He’s free to grow and explore and i really don’t appreciate the way you said “if you’re going to do something like THAT’… like, what the heck is that supposed to mean? It looks like you’re the one who’s uncomfortable and unsure about accepting his choices. Art is an exploration and you reading into his body language like you own him. Lol. And im sure he is influenced by ‘others’. You can’t make choices in isolation. But he still has a say in what goes into a song and what he wishes to put out. From the start BTS was not about being ‘squeaky-clean’ but expressing authenticity and experimenting.

@@bear44444 I’m not sure I understand your comment but being a Soju drinker I thought I would comment. Soju is distilled alcohol with up to 25% alcohol. Not only is it high in alcohol it is also high in sugar since most of what is sold in the USA is fruit Soju. I find it can cause a drunken state much faster than most Whiskey which can be up to 45% alcohol. I’ve always thought this is due to the sugar in Soju but I could be wrong. Whatever the reason, Koreans drink a lot.
