Did you get one of their EZ Etching Presses made from a cold laminating machine? I have built two of those, and they work very well for me. Absolutely love using them.
A great demonstration and a lovely print. How much of the top part did you want to include? From the second print I wasn’t quite sure what lines should have been included and what was chatter.
Thanks for the video! Is the easiest way to get rid of the chatter to just chisel away the parts you don't want to be inked? I do like some prints that have the chatter though
Yes, you can carve them away so they don't pick up ink. You can also make a paper or plastic mask to cover the areas you don't want to print before you put it through the press.
Yes, you will get a ghost print (a pale print) if you print a second piece of paper without re-inking the block. You can also use a clean lino block to print an embossing but dampened paper is best for this.
Hello! An etching press has a roller that squeezes the plate as it goes along. It works better for intaglio work and can usually put down more pressure than relief presses.
You are a great teacher. Love your helpful videos.
Thanks Hannah!
Thanks for the video. Really helpful!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much. I just picked up a press off Craigslist and was hesitant to use it. You answered all the questions I had.
Have fun with your new press! Happy to help
This was exactly what I needed to see. Thank you. Subscribed.
Great video, thanks! I purchased a nice low cost etching press from Creative Printers of London, it works really well.

It's all chatter technically, but I could remove more lino from that section if I don't want any to print

This Block is made of which material?
This is traditional hessian backed lino
Hi, what are the benefits of an etching press, instead of a hand pressure? Thanks, greetings from Colombia.

Do you know if it could be the other way around? Could a press for lino print be used for monotypes?
Relief printing presses aren't great for monotypes and intalgio printing
What is the purchase price for complete set?
