    Thank you for this, I spent an embarrasing amount of time trying to get this to work and followed everything you had set, the difference being I'm using a pair of AP515. I ended up factory resetting both and setting them up as a fresh pair, it worked straight away!

    I've followed this setup... However, I can't see any other devices on the downlink that are in the same VLAN as the APs management... If that makes sense? ie. Management VLAN10 - AP Point has a management IP in that VLAN so does the switch its connected to at the other end. I Can't access the switch on VLAN10... But the switch is receiving all the other via VLANs via the AP Point downlink (trunk)..

    Why do you have less performance at 40 and 80 MHz compared to 20 at the same distance?

      Looks like a typo in our table, results should be reversed compared to what was shown.

      You need to make sure you have the instant version of this AP (IAP) not the controller based version. Have a look at the back and check the model number. If you indeed have the instant AP then you should perform a factory reset. Have a look at this video to learn how: th-cam.com/video/zHC-P_qkLSo/w-d-xo.html

      Hi Antonia, I don't quite understand your deployment, is it Point to Point or Point to Multipoint or multiple separate Point to Point connections?

    What if I want to Use it as a AP for mobile devices like Cellphones and Laptops? whats is the maximum range?

    • @ArubaPhoenixProClub
      @ArubaPhoenixProClub  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      your device will be able to hear the AP well past 100m range with clear line of site but the AP will struggle to hear the device beyond 60-80m range. This is because handheld devices generally transmit at lower power levels and have much worse antennas.

    Do these access points require any type of additional license for this set-up?

    Will there be a video for setting up a P2P Bridge using Aruba Central?

      I'll add it to our todo list.

      @@ArubaPhoenixProClub do it now as a lot of 8.x is EOL. I am very curious to see it done.

      @@aarongarcia355 8.x is not end of life, 8.12 released in March and there's likely one more release (since 8.12 is not an LSR). AOS 10.x though with Central will be generally the same as AOS 8.x setup in Central.

    What is the maximum distance between both APs? Could it cover more than 1 mile? Are there advantages if I use an AP-577?

    • @ArubaPhoenixProClub
      @ArubaPhoenixProClub  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It could cover more than 1 mile though performance will be impacted. AP-577 will provide overall throughput. Stay tuned for our AP-577 video ;)

      @@ArubaPhoenixProClub 577s will do a mile, but in denser areas with more interference the performance will be lower. AP-574s with ANT-4x4-5314 antennas will easily do a mile, the antennas are much higher gain and are narrower to improve interference rejection.
