My Grandfather left Prague just prior to WW1. When I was in Europe it was the late seventies and it was frown upon to cross the border. Always wanted to visit Czechoslovakia, now if I go it will be the Czech Republic. i really would like to see where my family is from. Thanks Valery for the tour.

I stayed in Prague for about two weeks in 2014, after working at the Sochi Paralympics. I was waiting on a new Russian Visa to go visit friends, so I was working through the Russian Bureaucracy and had to find a place I could stay while waiting for it. It turned out to be a really good choice, and one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen. I wish I had taken the time to learn a bit more Czech, but I got by with English, Russian, and German. Excellent presentation!

Thank you! Czech is not easy but if you know German and Russian then you would be able to say some Czech words already. Some Czech words come from German, like "auto" and some Czech words are similar to Russian, other than that Czech has a lot of unique sounds, the biggest obstacle for foreigners who live here. Try "ř" at home :)

@@RealPragueGuides I agree, it is difficult, and I did (fortunately) run into some Russian and German speakers. I was able to say, "Mluvite angliski?, "Mluvite Russki", Ne mluvim Czeski", and Dekuji" (I'm sure I'm butchering the spelling, but they understood me). I made the mistake of telling a man who approached me "Не говорю по-ческий" only to have him say "Хорошо! Мы говорим по-русский!". He said "see you later (до встречи) then came back the next day. He turned out to be a con-man and I had a tough time getting rid of him.

The past of prostitution in Prague is what it has been in The Netherlands for a long time, until it was legalized. A really progressive city for that time! How nice that you make a tour with interesting stories about it. Very wel done Valerie! And the little link to Freud was fantastic!

I recently saw this young woman's video about the events surrounding the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich and was very impressed with the way she presented the subject manner. In this video, I am also impressed with her style, but this time, with the sense of whimsy and humor she brings to the subject. I also work in the tour industry in the United States and I compliment her on her knowledge and presentation.

Definitely, Prague & Budapest they are both on my list to visit, when I am gonna be back to Warszawa. Funny thing is.... that I was raised in Warszawa on the right side of the Wisla River, in the district called PRAGA, where the cinema-theater PRAHA is still located up for today !!!! No kidding !!!! I lived there a half of my life !!!! :o) Special greetings to you dear Valery. Personally, I adore you for your intellect and also for your multilingualism - I mean it !!!!
