It's a very egocentric playstyle. They only think "what would benefit me" and never ever take into account that there are other people playing. Really satisfying to see those people get punished and lose
I think the most important takeaway from this video is not to give up. You never know if you are going to get a higher placement or even the win just by playing to win.
I've been watching ypur videos forever at this point. I must confess I have never played a single game of risk. But watching you has improved my overall game theory by teaching me on very important lesson. Thank you for all the wisdom you have shared over the years.
Hi Pete! Would you ever do a video specifically on your decisionmaking in the very end game of games, where so much is going on, maybe by reacting to a video of yours about these many last turns where you use up the entire round for attacks etc. ? I often see you making moves like going for the norway pocket in this one or abandoning this or that cap, and even though you do your best, in these last few rounds you usually need full concentration and the entire clock to do everything you can to win so understandably you make a lot of moves based on your thoughts and instincts and it would just be awesome to get somewhat of a review of what those were in the moment. I know I could suggest older videos for this, but I think if you were keen on doing something like that, it would be really great to get those insights right after a game when they are freshest. Just an idea I'd really enjoy, because it's that decision making towards the end that often has very elaborate little plays that really seperate the top players from really good players. In any case, thanks for a great year of entertainment and wish you and your folks Happy Holidays and an awesome New Year!

Anytime you play and have a purple player I get excited it might be me… then it’s not and I move on with my day. I know the odds are like 1/100,000 but maybe one day haha
Whenever players are in a winning position and are still spamming emotes.. I take that to mean they don’t usually find themselves in winning positions.

Hi Pete, I was magenta this game. I have no concept of strategy other than maximizing my bonuses while breaking everyone around me. The second I encounter any resistance whatsoever I quit immediately to try a new game. I haven't won a game of risk yet but I'll let you know if I do. Unsurprisingly, I'm an insufferable a$&hole in real life. I'll probably play you again under a variety of usernames. Please don't make fun of my uncontrollable diarrhea. /s
