Just got one of these myself and I concur with your review! I changed the pick guard and to Fat 50’s pickups due to personal preference, but agree these are good pickups.

I love your playing. To know those tones and sounds you have to love that style of Music and You play it well.Thats what drew me in,I already seen things I wasnt doing that you do and I can do,so I am already learnin from you. Then I hear you talking about these guitars and I know you know, I am a music lover, guitar freak, gear nerd. whatever,Your great Man, I subscribed,

Thanks for the great demo! You play really well!!
Seems like a cool guitar and a good value.
The tortoise shell pickguard is gorgeous, much nicer than the typical Fender one, looks lighter and more translucent and more like the old original celluloid ones.

I also think the quiet release of these has been kinda weird. I first saw them a couple of weeks ago on Fender's website, and by the next day I had talked myself into one. I'm waiting for mine from Sweetwater still. Thanks for the demo, and congratulations on New Guitar Day.

Thanks! I usually order from Sweetwater but fender had them in stock plus that 10 percent off was too good. Best buy in a while

I've been using some Dadario 9.5s and they dont feel so likely to break like 9s. I usually play 10s and 11s, but the 9.5s are fire.

Just tried 9.5’s for the first time this past weekend on my Strat and really love it!

Audio on this video is terrible on my end. Guitar sounds good, but can barely hear you talking.

I think I mentioned in the video that it was a little one 7 lbs so not super light

You already use the middle pickup. You use it for positions 2 and 4! =-p

“For the money” on a $1799 guitar is hilarious. I have the Roasted Pine non-F holed version of this guitar. The pickups are eh in my opinion, but I’m a person who likes my pickups to have character and have my amp and pedals enhance that character. The V-Mod II are very articulate and in my opinion lacking quality in the Low end. However, best neck and feel out of all of the guitars I own. Mine is heavily modded, but I love the barebones this guitar came with.
