- hey besties!! come spend 48 hours with me in Amsterdam where we eat some great food, go on a walking tour, boat tour and are basically the ultimate solo tourist. I got lucky and made a friend on my free walking tour so we ended up having a crazy night out bar hopping and dancing at the afrobeats night club. I also take a second to give you all some solo travel tips while I do my makeup.

I live in Amsterdam and I can't tell you how much joy I get when I see my melanin sisters traveling here and enjoying their best life. Love this for you and so happy you had an amazing time here. You are right about the issue with vacation time as Americans. When I lived in the US I finessed 3 weeks off, but here I get 6 weeks off and my husband gets an additional 2.5 weeks on top of his 6 weeks due to how his work contract is formatted.
Its so funny to see you walk around as a tourist in my city. Love your perspective and how much you like it. The guy arguing in the metro got me laughing. I see this everyday 😩😩

Krystal your hair is everything. Girly it’s interesting because when I was in Europe people in conversation’s would be staying for weeks and they wouldn’t have like these crazy significant jobs and be like regular jobs

I went to Amsterdam in 2019 and hit the best time of my life. I saw so many people riding their bikes to work and to school. It was amazing.

I think what you are doing is better than staying in one place for 2 weeks. Flights are cheaper once you make it to Europe so it's best to take advantage of that! :)
14 days of paid vacation…that sucks. Im in the UK and have 28 days per year…which increases based on time spent in the organisation. I loved Amsterdam. I got to stay for a week and it was perfect. A 1 hour and 30 min flight 😊
