    We LOVED our Langtang Valley trek for its varied scenery and we experienced such great hospitality at guesthouses along the way. This trek takes in beautiful forest sections at the lower elevations, but within a few days you can be trekking to nearly 5000 metres, surrounded by snowy mountains and glaciers 🤯.To help you plan your own Langtang Valley Trek we've put together an indepth guide over on our blog, plus a detailed route description. Check them out here - www.goingthewholehogg.com/langtang-valley-trek-guide/ and www.goingthewholehogg.com/langtang-valley-trekking-route-guide/ We hope you enjoy the film, please show it some love to help us continue creating films like this 😀 Kim & Del

      Love the quality of your cinematography, easy to see the effort you put in. You bring back the fond memories I have from the trekking I did in Nepal & Pakistan 30 years ago.

    I did the Langtang trek in 1987. In October I am going to do the same trek again, 36 years later!

      Fantastic! You really will see a difference in terms of guesthouses and facilities no doubt. Great to experience it again after such a long period of time. Have a wonderful trip!

    It's great to see this video. I witnessed the hard work you put in during the trek. We observed you on a day from Sherpagaon to Lamtang, setting up the camera and moving back and forth to film yourself. I was eagerly anticipating the release of the video.

      Yes, can remember the conversation we had on Messenger at the time. Hope you enjoy it. Look out for the feature length one coming tomorrow. We just had so much good stuff from the guesthouses, etc. that we thought we'd make a short version focusing on the trail and a full length version showing all the good stuff off-trail. Would be interested to know what you think. Thanks a lot!

    Excellent film guys, what stunning ,diverse landscapes.I shall watch the full film to see some interaction with the locals. If I were 40 years younger, I would have loved to tackle that trail. Many thanks for your efforts.

      Thanks very much Martin, really appreciate that. The Langtang Valley had never been on our radar on previous trips to Nepal but we’d recently heard good things about it and we have to say, it exceeded expectations. The longer film has some really good stuff in it, hope you enjoy it. Thanks again 🙂

    Hey Pals, I've recently discovered your channel, and I've been thoroughly enjoying watching your videos, especially your Nepal series. I love nepal, and having completed MERA PEAK in 2022, I'm hoping to head back soon, and film bigger adventures! Subbed, and I look forward to viewing more of your adventures in the future. Calum x

      Thank you! We got on very well with our guide and found him to be very professional. We would certainly recommend him. His name is Govinda Rai, and he works with the trekking agency Himalayan Masters. If you organise your trek with them you can get a 5% discount if you mention us using the referral code HOGG5. You can read more about the trek and our experience with this agency and guide in our accompanying blog post - www.goingthewholehogg.com/langtang-valley-trek-guide/ Have a great time in Nepal! Cheers, Kim

    Hello. In what shape of fit you need to be to carry your onwn bag on shoulders around 10-12 kg?

    • @GoingTheWholeHogg
      @GoingTheWholeHogg  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Reasonably fit but not super fit, especially if you have experience carrying a bag like that and as long as you go at your own pace and not overdo it. Of course, the fitter and stronger you are the better 😃

      For this we used the Nisi 1.5-5 stop pro nano ND variable filter, but we’ve just bought their newer 1-5 stop True Color ND filter. Been using the Nisi filters for many years now and have been pretty happy with them 😃

      Amazing, sounds like a great way to celebrate! We trekked with Himalayan Masters and definitely recommend them. You'll get 5% off if you mention us (code HOGG5) too 😃! You can just email them and Sandip will answer any questions and organise everything for you. Govinda was our guide and he's fantastic, so it's a bonus if you get to trek with him too!

    Amazing trekking just wanna ask in which month did you guys went on and how long did it take to trek gosainkunda

    • @GoingTheWholeHogg
      @GoingTheWholeHogg  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We trekked the Langtang Valley at the end of March and continued on to Gosainkunda at the start of April. We trekked for 6 days from Lama Hotel to Kutumsang then took a jeep back to Kathmandu from there. We spent 2 nights at Gosainkunda so had a whole day to explore the area.
      We had no issues with altitude acclimatisation as we had already been to Kyanjin Ri and Tsergo Ri, but we do advise others to think about how quickly they do the trek if they are not already acclimatised, all of which we’ve covered in our two Gosainkunda guides:

    • @GoingTheWholeHogg

      NTC works best, but it isn't available the entire way. Between approximately Rimche and Ghodatabela you won't get any signal.

    Can we visit there in August. How was the monsoon there.❤

    • @GoingTheWholeHogg
      @GoingTheWholeHogg  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is possible to visit in August, although it would be quite hot and there would be much less snow on the mountain tops. The monsoon may still be ongoing at that time which means fewer mountain views and more rain of course.
