About nerves: I'm an overthinker, so I calm down by reminding myself that my body is reacting "correctly". As in "this is a really cool pressuring moment", which is the reason I play in the first place.

Out if curiosity, what would you have done at the opening if others started breaking your Russia bonus? I imagine that answer might change based on who it is but in general is the idea try and take Russia for free and if it got broke early abort it or once committed were pretty always going to keep putting troops there?

Just an idea, when you do an alliances game and someone keeps annoyingly spamming you to attack someone else, switch on the cylon voice from the old Battlestar Galactica and say "by your command!" I would most likely die laughing if you did. Also, it doesn't pay to be the blue player in your games based on the last few vids I've watched. Lol!

It might just be that red was trapped there because of white, he didnt take the bonus because he might have had a fight, over a cap, with white and needed trupps there, i feel like he was rather in an unlucky Situation than anything else.
Red still fucked up though. Didn't take the purple kill on 5, didn't take the white kill on 4 cards either when they took the cap (you see white starting with 3 troops). They could have won the game easily chaining those 2 kills but they don't know how to play properly. Cap stacking for second or lucky first against noobs gets you to Master or even GM being a terrible player.

When I'm making moves like the first one I often don't bother to look at the cards to minimax the plus two because of the time cost. I'd rather risk being suboptimal with the plus two vs running out of time
@@TheKillPeteStrategy Speed is incredibly important, I saw you miss a 70% on reverse world recently because you needed like a few more seconds, oh especially when you have to path harder things, I'm sure it gets so much more difficult to maintain speed an optimization of routes, cards, etc.
Hi, I just wanted to ask if you ever get targeted from turn one from one player for seemingly no reason, because this is what happend to me in my last two games back to back (and a bunch of games before). It seems to happen much more often if I take a bonus on turn one. Most of the time I don't retailiate the first or even second break anymore, because when i have done that it seems to lead to an all out war 3 out of 4 times. But sometimes they just dont stop breaking my shit, even if I retailiate or guard and another player is close to steamrolling. Does that sound familiar? If so, what do you do? Do you just wait a turn to get your bonuses? Because my go to strategy of suiciding into them and quitting the game does not get me many wins.

All that territory kept the missing of the kills inconsequential. All that partying in Africa, they didn't know the house was coming down.
