I bought a chest rig from Hailey Strategic to bring to the range with me, & I'm really glad I did. It's not only practical to have & train with one, but fun too!
Is this carrier similar in size and slimness for a low profile setting? In other words is this similar with the LAPG low vis plate carrier when it comes to its size? Thanks!
@@ThinLineDefenseCo agree to disagree there! GGG was way worse, definitely not a comfy all day carrier. But to each his own! Have to check out your video.
I had a lot of construction issues with my Ferro I believe I show in the video. Some warping with the laser cut areas, stitching coming undone. Not impressed. Do I have that with the LAPG one? Yes, but it's not as bad and literally 1/3 the price. - Jason
@Thin Line Defense Co I went back and rewatched both videos. I feel like you are using different grading metrics on the Slickster vs the JTE. The Slickster wasn't 'good enough for duty use' (which it was geared towards so that's fair) but the JTE is 'good enough loaner to give a friend'. I understand that production styles change over time but the two reviews have a very different tone (and a lot of plugging for LAPG baby clothes in one :V). I know I probably come off as a Slickster fanboi but that's not the case -- I do think that gear is great for what it's supposed to be: low vis plate carrier that's comfortable to wear. I will grab one of the JTE to check out and see if it's comfier than a Slickster. You could also pin a comment that LAPG sells a 2 mag cummerbund for $10 in the comments, came across it while looking at the JTE. Wearing full battle rattle sucks, and even just some plates and mags stuff can get heavy if you wear it for a while. Yut!
Thanks man! I bought both the Slickster and the JTE. I was probably harder on them because of how much I had to pay. I did the same with Trex Arms AC1 when they were charging $190 for their PC. Price has dropped and I adjusted my ranking for them. It has been done where we adjusted ratings. Walsh ranks the MEPC lower than I do. I really like that we have multiple viewpoints here on the channel and we don't always agree. Appreciate the dialogue though. - Jason

What a great value, gonna have to order 2 different colors
Yeah, sub $50 is awesome

Not bad for the price point, I might give it a try.

Which one are you picking between the two LA Police gear vests?!
Please review the FrogPro Hawk Plate Carrier!
You can always buy velcro adaptors for the front
Or just weave some 1” One Wrap through the MOLLE
I like this idea. Thanks

Have you guys tried the Tacticon Armament Battle Vest Lite?? Curious how this one stacks up.
I had one...meh...slightly worse IMO

@@ThinLineDefenseCo opinion valued and appreciated. Thank you
So now I’m watching Jason and “not Jason” videos back to back to see if “not Jason” IS really Jason 🤔
Have you reviewed the Slickster? I tried the GGG Minimalist and was not imoressed, sold it immediatley. Love my Slickster tho!
Yep it's in our playlist...I thought I added it to my list, but it's in last place

Welcome to the show!

@@JEJAK5396 there is a slight possibility but I don’t think it’s Harry Potter type wizardry.
I’m 6’7 would it fit me?
Technically...I think so
