Lacing up your boots over top like that is an absolute game changer. I hate when my boots loosen up even the slightest bit. While watching I laced mine up and immediately feel a huge difference. Buckin' coming through once again. Thanks buddy
I remember my dad teaching me that when I was about 13 when I got a pair of steel toed boots brings back memories wish he was still here miss him every day,but I am glad buckin that you found some good vibergs there costly eh I remember when you were gonna get your other ones resoled take care my friend it's gonna rain here in Ontario all this week
I like the loggers knot you showed us awhile ago. That's how I always tie my boots now. It makes it so much easier at the end of the day when I'm tired and don't feel like fooling around with knots. LOL thanks Buckin.
Thanks Billy! I’ve got an original pair of Vibergs from 1978 that were made for me from Mr. Viberg in Victoria.I was in the charlottes at the time and did everything from running around on the booms to road building,I can’t say enough about the boot except now I’m 67 and they’ve gained weight or I’ve lost muscle mass….lol so I’ll try and sell them not many men are lady’s size 7 1/2 unfortunately, great video and the old ties are the best ties ! Carolyn 😊
Buckin, only you could make tying your boots informative and interesting. I have never tried the over under thing. I usually go with the first set of crosses over then under much like the second and third set of ladders on your boots. It works for me.
outstanding friend! I was taught that dual sock with one folded down idea by a former US special forces guy. I will do this lacing trick with my wildland fire boots. cheers.
I so that all the time, all my boots have sports insoles, makes a massive difference to the fatigue when your wearing them all day, great tips as always buckin
This man nose the right way too do it and rope work he really hit a soft spot in my soul rope and line are a passion for me money can't make anyone love this passion for tree's and everything involved.love and respect each other please!
Whatsup treeslayers, new here got this channel recommended by a friend. Been falling a while now northern and western europe, farming Beech and Oak and whatever else comes up.
Hey Buckin', these are some of the cleanest white socks I've seen coming out of logger boots. I do know unlined Wesco boots do a number on my white sox as well as some cheaper boot brands. Short of paying for a lined boot, what causes this and how else can it be avoided...? Anybody else have this problem with other brands and the solutions?
@@peterlubbers4998 I'll try and check that out. The problem is finding the time for this stuff while still in my working years--and Buckin is still #1 for youtube viewing! Thanks.
Hey never been this early to one of your vids before! I used some know how from you to replace an axe handle for a friend this past Christmas, thanks for doing you Buckin’
I was driving a dozer down an old narrow road last month when an overgrown apple tree smacked me right in my eyeball. It hurt so bad. I was fortunate it only hurt and broke a vessel. Be kind and safe. ;)
Don't go around the back. Bad enough ankle injury your leg swells and it's now stopping blood flow. If you can't get to the lace for whatever reason you might end up losing a foot.
Those are really old Vibergs they haven't had lace holes on the upper half of the boots for well over 20 years unless those are custom mades. I've been wearing Viberg boots for 20 years once you worn a pair you don't go back to cheap boots like you get from Marks. The break in on a brand new pair is painful I've got a new pair of 151x CSA ready to wear, I'm still wearing my broke in pair with the sole that's getting thin the heals worn right out but they are broke in and comfortable. Those ones you have been rebuilt with the buffalo sole they are hard as hell no real cushioning the Vibram Fire and Ice #100 sole is more comfortable. Kick off a pair of Vibergs after 8-10 hour day your feet are not sore.
Hey friends, hope everybody is doing well!! Would like to ask all of you a question, looking for my first mac so I am between pro mac 55 and 700. I'm from Spain so they are not do common here. Any help or opinión is gold! Thanks and have a great week!!!
Ok, how about just offer your boots with all hooks and 4 eyelets on the foot? Don’t use leather laces they suck and wesco and whites are best, vibergs are a good Canadian brand
LOL! My father put TGIF on my boots once when I was being a dumbass, I asked him what that meant? He said toes go in first you dumbass! LOL! I miss that man!

Never thought I’d watch a video on tying boot laces, but killed it with some great info.
Thanks Buckin, very knowledgeable.

Buckin', thanks for showing us the proper way of lacing up der boots. Lol Be safe and keep moving and we'll see ya again in der tree's.

I tried this with my work boots yesterday and I couldn’t believe the difference! Thanks Billy!
Nice Boots! Wouldn't buy any other boots except vibergs, Hand Crafted quality is there.
Nicks and White are equal quality bro.
Over!!!! Game changer! 50 yrs and never knew.
Two year have past I had to go back to review this knot , thank you 🙏.

This man is a Neal Young fan.
Me too
It works like a champ!!! Use it every single day! Love to you and the family❤️
I've been tying my boots that way for the past 40 years. I also use leather laces.
LEATHER ROTS OUT TO QUICK ON ME ,, I WISH IT DIDNT AS I DO LIKE IT
Put conditioner or oil on the leather laces and they will last.
@@BuckinBillyRaySmith OBENAUF'S!!
Leather doesn’t last for me but I wish it did

Thats a beauty set of boots !!
Much love to all ❤❤❤
Love each other and be kind....its really quite exhilarating ! 😁
Boot tying art!
I love it when my laces are in a free world.
Give free world laces a chance.
I think that's an ice skating (hockey) boot trick too. :)
Putting some really thin super glue in the tips of boot laces will keep them from fraying.
I did not know that. Thanks Buckin!!!

Igor Rogi idk what the pro Mac 55 is, but I’ve got the pro Mac 700 with a 28” bar and it’s heavy but a joy to cut with. Wear some earplugs though!

What does it take to get someone under the age of 40 to put on a pair of work boots?... Just curious
$50/HR

I wish I could get a pair of boots like this made in New Zealand.
Why you say perfect like that
