That part of the CA coast is so beautiful...that doesn't seem like a big enough word. I really hope you get to Santa Cruz and the Redwood Forest. Joey does seem to enjoy the beach and the ocean (who doesn't?) Not a Twilight reader myself, but, I had the same reaction as you about the quiet neighbors.
I am doing van life and I ended up spending the entire summer in Pacific Grove and Monterey. It’s one of the most beautiful places in America. I love how the deer roam free amongst the people there. They are everywhere!

Hey Chantelle 😊not only was I born in Monterey years ago when there was a military base called Ft. Ord, but I love the vampire series. Anne Rice being my fav author and The Body Thief being the best funniest vampire book ever. But I’m also a fan of True Blood 🩸 😅 a great vampire series. But moving on 😉 I’m glad you’re in this part of the country going up the coast. It’s my favorite drive in the USA I usually start way down in San Diego and go all the way up. It never disappoints. The ocean 🌊 all the way. Lovin it!!! Have fun 🤩

I love TVD !! Me and my daughter watched the show twice. We’ve attended their convention and visited Covington. The house is beautiful but they can’t move the home like you do to other beautiful places! Enjoy your journey with Joey!!

Such a beautiful place to enjoy! I've never seen shells cover the ground like that at the beach. Guess you would know if someone was headed your way pretty quickly. Sweet Joey looked so happy at the beach. There was sand in the desert and sand at the beach for him to enjoy the soft earth on his walks. Also I've never seen a deer by the beach either. Thanks for sharing this beautiful stay!

Now you are getting into areas I know! The Monterey Bay Aquarium is excellent, but sadly, no dogs. If you have binoculars (or can afford a whale-watching boat ride!), you can often see sea otters and occasionally whales in the bay by the Aquarium. Carmel is pretty to drive through with Very Expensive houses, but I can’t imagine you’d find overnight parking there. Tidepooling at Asilomar is good, and many other areas going up the coast. Be very careful anywhere there is surf-the riptides are deadly. You will like Mendocino!

I love the Monterey area. OMG, the houses there are all in the millions. My cousin lives further north in Santa Cruz. That's a fun town if you're able to make it up there. On highway 1, you should stop off in Castroville. It's the artichoke capital of the world. Look up Pezzini Farms (it's actually just before you get to Castroville, it's like the last exit before you get to Castroville), they have a great store there with beautiful produce, and a food truck that has THE best fried artichoke hearts. YUMMMMY !!!!
Spent 4 days in Monterey during pandemic. Stayed at elms, have to be a member. They have a pool,bar,restaurant. All were closed, but still was awesome. Need to go back, the aquarium is the most wonderful place to go through, it was closed too. The beach pull over are incredible.

I just love this area of the country! Have you ever visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium - that's pretty cool and a lot of fun if you haven't. I could have stayed all day in the kelp forest room :) I am enjoying your coastline content and envying every single minute of it, LOL!!
Next time you’re in Morro Bay, stop by the Avocado Shack on Main St, if you haven’t already tried it! Lots of gorgeous produce & the owner is very helpful!

My friend and I go once a year and stay at Asilomar Conference Center to get our beach fix.. it has boardwalks that takes you to the road and across the street is the beach. You probably saw it.

Each beachy goes you get your little tiny jar at Dollar tree or someplace and put little bit of sand and mark which speech he went to and the date you went there so you have a memory of each sands at different places you've been

HI Chantalle, I'm sure i spelled that wrong...62 year old woman here with a question, if you feel like answering, if not that's fine. Do you find this lifestyle gets harder or easier the longer you have been doing it? I'm sure having the toilet is a real game changer, and you have learned so much, so perhaps easier? I tried short van adventures and found it so hard on so many levels and recently was blessed with a place I love, so its not something i am considering, but, whenever I watch your videos, I always think wow, you are amazing to be able to keep this up. I know it is not easy, that's for sure, but every situation has its benefits and drawbacks. I know this is a conscious choice you have made, and you gracefully deal with all that it entails as each new circumstance unfolds. You seem to practice staying in the moment. I love getting to go to the ocean with you, and see the sights in this most beautiful part of California. I love how real you are, and how you appreciate life/art/beauty/nature/freedom. Stay safe and well. You are so cool.

Are you originally from California where youbuild your van? I cant remember. eautiful beachfront parking. Could watch those waves splashing on rocks for hours as you did. Cute coffee bookshop. Area not as crowded as would expect. Very nice.
