Out of curiosity, what's the mechanical sound that comes at the heads and tails of these leaders? (begins at 0:54) Half of me thinks either that's part of the slides and test patterns filling the entire 35mm frame and the audio amplifier picking it up and processsing it as if it were audio, but honestly I'm not sure.
Way better than the digital cinema version, 35mm rules. Gotta love the SMPTE foot/tail leader reel. Too bad the digital cinema version doesn’t do that anymore.
@@chadman7548 that's a shame, but I guess there's not many places left with projectors. At least people like Tarantino and Nolan release a 70mm film once in a while
One day, when I was browsing through 35mm prints on eBay, I saw, much to my surprise, Justice League from 2017 on 35mm! Yes, you heard me! THIRTY-FIVE FREAKING MILLIMETER FILM!!
Oh wow! Another Paramount print!!! That’s about 3 complete Viacom movies on print right now, with only *one* being incomplete! Wonder if you get a print from like post 2013 or something like that. (Since some 35mm endings were films that were after 2013, like inside out) That would also be cool.
0:54 jeez that sound on this part scared the crap out of me
I would absolutely LOVE to own a 35mm projector in my room!
I am a fan of Star Trek, btw Great Video, as always
0:54 That Sound Is Scared Me
I know this may sound cliche, but...
Firsties.

it's the barcodes, text, etc. being slapped onto the film's soundtrack which causes the projector to pick it up as sound
0:55 efilm leader lady
Someone can please tell me WHAT IS THOSE MARKS AT THE END???
Have you ever collected THX, Dolby or DTS trailers on 35mm?
I saw it in 35mm

So do they still make 35mm prints of new movies
No. It's all digital since 2013.

Can You Do The Cue Marks Of Star Trek (2009) Please
Is there any chance that you'll get the 35MM print of The Spongebob Squarepants Movie (2004).
It’s on my bucket list of prints I eventually want to get my hands on. I’ll be sure to keep you updated if I ever come across it.
@@gavinking8761 ok then
Looks like it’s from 1979
Because of the 1975 Paramount “Blue Mountain” logo.
