The social sharing plugin is interesting. I think it's a sometimes though. I have one blog that's really social media sharing heavy in terms of some of the posts. So I'm gonna leave it on that one. But most of my others, I just installed it years ago when I set the blog up, and yes, it's really served no function as I get little traffic from social media, and it's clogging the page up with code like you said. I think I'm gonna disable the plugin on the sites where sharing isn't important, and see if site speed improves on them. Great vid as always guys!
Hi Ricky, pls solve my problem. My question is, 'does keyword "placement" in title tag affect ranking' or we can place our keyword in ending of title ?
You have talked about images in the video, here a very important question for me arises (maybe it is helpful for others) could you make a video to explain what resolution (width, length) images are best that is best and fit for all kinds of screens? whether I should make a 1920 by 1280 picture or something else? Need your expert opinion?
I know ur not asking me but this could be helpful: 1120 is the widest I ever go for featured images. To reduce size: open image, resize to 1120 x 680 (or so depending on your theme), then save that as JPEG 2000, then open that jpeg 2000 image and save it as a regular jpeg. Cuts image size in half. Someone else may have better way of doing this.

This is a great video and I'm trying to reduce some of my plugins right now.... so very handy! I do try and optimise my small size images in Lightroom and before I upload to wordpress - This helps not to need an image optimising plugin i think :) I have one question - I have cloudflare and wordfence but every few month a still get about 500 user "Bot" traffic coming to my website and it's really annoying. Do you know what could cause this, or know how I can prevent it ?
If you want a fast site, optimizing images with a plug-in doesn’t make sense unless you absolutely don’t have the abilities that let you optimize before uploading - or is there some other reason to use an image optimization plug-in?
There are reasons. First of all, huge time savings... But also, they manage all the different image sizes really well. So when an image is used at a thumbnail size, there will be an optimized image of that size that displays. But that same image can be used elsewhere at full-width. So in that case, a version of the image that's the right size will be displayed. Shortpixel will also convert images to webp which can significantly reduce file sizes even more, and then it will display webp if a user is using a browser that is compatible, but it will display a jpg for the few browsers that don't support webp. I suspect that before long, WordPress will do a lot of this automatically. But for now, image optimization plugins are still beneficial.
Most of the themes support it. You can customise them from there. Or, you can make a reusable block and put some social icons and links there and you can use them everywhere. Like top of the content or in the sidebar or end of the content
