For assistant job you need to have experience and get more knowledge by working in offices. And also do B.arch if you want to continue in architecture.

But Software Architect is something who has knowledge of all platforms related to computer, coding, application, networking etc. so doing BCA then MCA is related to the same field but pursuing Bsc IT then MCA - then they both are different in term of the platform that's why I suggested you to do BSc IT then MCA.
