I deem myself extremely fortunate that 25 years ago (in 1996) I had privilege of listening to this heavenly voice live -- sitting right in front of Vidushi ji (in Dadar cultural center).
begam parween sultana has a very wide range. she can go full three to three and half octaves with great ease. Her voice is very agile and flexible. not many female singers can do this.
I disagree. Her upper range is pure and in perfect pitch. It is not falsetto. This is what she is known for. Her ability to move up and down the scales over 3 1/2 octaves with great ease and facility. In fact, please listen to her interviews where she explains her singing. You will appreciate her even more.
begum parween sultana also has a very high "sur" here, she is singing at "sur" C. Her "sur" is C. Her "sur" is very high. most female singers sing at A, or A sharp. Very few female singers sing at B and even fewer female singers sing at C.
@@sourav-zn9vz that is the reason, Sir, when she sings in higher octaves, it gives a false impression of exquisite and rare range, which is actually not.
I have been listenig to this recitle for long,as long as 35 years.still I feel enjoyment as though I am listening for the first time.

I agree thatbher bass range is good but the upper range is false-setto, but nevertheless in swar so that’s what matters.

@@nathanandrews8314Nope it's not falsetto. The voice gets so high pitched that it may sound like falsetto to untrained ears.
Show this to any western singer or coach, they'll say it's indeed the mixed voice.

Much better than her later days, when she started echoing. The brilliance is marred a little by the uneven recording and loud tanpura.

Her pitch is too high .. there lies his credibility ..

ऐसी देव शक्तियां अब पैदा नही होंगी।मेरा अनुभव ही नही दावा है। मुझे मालूम है मज़हब और धर्म लेकिन, ये साक्षात क्या हैं क्या कोई बताएगा ?
Who disliked this ?????????????
must be the descendant of Mughal king Auranzeb
whoever disliked this, doesn't understand the value of shastriya sangeet. that is all i can say
Tanpura is too loud
Just hear tabla base...
