Like learning and mastering new soundtricks upon his really great stuff... But he does not have much of those... How do they say... increasing one's horizons? In short, he needs to widen his repertoire further and what we will have another monster beatboxer, literally a final boss. Ahh also, while he has good sound organizing skill, he still needs to improve it also. That is how river became a champ actually, even though napom was much much better. Also, adding uniqueness like dilip will favor him. And and lets add inertia's beaatly low bass skills or tomazacre's alien skills or stitch's polyphonic sounds... I cant even imagine if he can combine all these at least at some grade... (yeah, i know... I actually defined dlow here, that d-guy and his gigantic repertoire)

@@tw1931 so true Napom is kinda in a cycle of recycling old routines and things we have heard before from him, River has more creativity and he has different routines, he doesn’t recycle old routines as much nor the same flow and feel to the routines. ZVD os creating new combos that are crazy and he has a way of placing his sounds just so that they all flow really really nicely I give it a year or so you’ll see ZVD at the top 5
@@isimyok87 I don't think ZVD really lacks for "new soundtricks" I think I've heard him do pretty much all the canonical stuff, a few truly unique sounds, tech that would be at home on a GBB stage, and a great singing voice to boot. If I had to pin down a weakness of his I'd ironically say that it's the arrangements. Part of this is a stylistic preference, he's demonstrated that he's a big fan of the low-tempo heavy beats interspersed with flashy fills. That's cool and it sounds good, but it doesn't hit the same on a battle stage as it does in the wildcards. Part of it is that he's still relatively green. He's had an insane trajectory thus far and competing a lot - it's tough to keep coming up with fresh new ideas, and taste (or perhaps a simple willingness to pander to what's popular) comes with age. Somewhat tangentially: I wonder if we'll see a differentiation between arrangers/composers and performers in beatboxing in the same way you see with other styles of music. I think barbershop quartet singing is actually a pretty close parallel here, because there's such a ridiculous level of skill needed by the performers who are constantly practicing and performing that it often makes more sense for dedicated "arrangers" to actually write the music.

This is my favorite solo beatbox routine of the year. You displayed so much creativity in this wildcard and pushed the boundaries of what I thought was possible for beatbox. The cleanliness and structure of complex combinations is such a hard thing to accomplish but you absolutely nailed it. This wildcard will get you in, no doubts about it!
