I’m just gonna use English to make sure I can express what I want to say correctly. My favorite “era” of this podcast was when it was once a week, over an hour long and just had someone interesting on like the girl who traveled around just with free AirBNBs or Roots 老師 talking about his experience as a voice actor. You guys starting to have all this new content is too much for 1 person to watch and it’s my opinion that you should leave the viewer wanting more. Of course the livestreams are gonna have low viewership because you do so many. Put all these livestreams on the patreon and just have your channel be the clean weekly podcast. I think that would help a lot and definitely help with feelings of burnout you guys seem to be feeling
Yes. I 100% agree. Limiting the uploads to 1 predictable piece of content per week will also help increase views with the algorithm. Hopefully 大叔 implement this.

Although I enjoy the breadth of content, I agree with you. I would say maybe 1 podcast, 1 live stream and 1 short learning video a week is the maximum they need to do. But only if they have the time/passion.
Yes, I think so too! I could not even find the time to watch/listen to all the content 大叔 release every week, so I can imagine making it must take lots of effort..

Try not to be discouraged by the number of views. The quality of your content is not measured in the number of views. I can tell you that as an American Born Chinese listening to you three is part of my daily routine now. It feels like I’m sitting down with friends and learning more about my Chinese culture.

Thanks for the videos. They provide very good listening practice. As feedback, I find that you publish many videos and I don't usually have time to watch them all. Also, when they are very long, it becomes a bit of a strain to finish them. I like the idea of stories, news, current affairs discussion... all different material, which is great... In fact, you don't need me to suggest things. I think you are already working out a very good program and your material should suit you individually so that you enjoy the process and also stay motivated... 加油， 非常感谢

Hi Dashu’s, thank you for your hard work and all the effort. I always watch your HSK videos and the short videos on single topics, which are concise and so so helpful. I feel like the chats with students, while good for those chatting to practice speaking, I usually don’t watch because I would prefer not to listen to non-native speakers in case I pick up wrong tones.
@@alarwings8378 same, even with the actual podcasts where they interview chinese students that are really good I don’t watch for the same reason

I just got off work, checked your channel to see what’s new, and was almost scared to death 🙈.
I totally understand you. I would have loved to join the live chats, but they are always in the middle of my work hours. I can only rarely make it on Fridays.
You produce so much amazing content that I need time to absorb it all. Sometimes I need to slow down the speed, which makes the videos longer; sometimes I look up words, and so on.
I think many people here actually engage with your videos and don’t just passively watch them.
Your videos are fantastic, diverse, and never boring. They are very motivating!
Don’t feel pressured to produce a lot. The quality must be right, and it definitely is!
When I feel ready, I will join the live chat on Sundays, but that will take a bit more time I guess.

你们的短视屏的想法也好的。如果视屏复杂，要求比较长时间用Language Reactor了解每一个句子。我听每一个句子二三次。对我来说，十伍个分钟的视屏我花一个小时所有。 但是这是比较累的输入办法，每天一半个小时就够了。所以我觉得短视屏很好。
当然我也喜欢你们的播客。我一边听一边滑地铁。

在我看来，直播聊天节目的参与度很低，因为大叔的大部分学生或听众都和我一样处于中级水平。
我个人不参加直播节目，因为我知道我无法在直播聊天中直接理解和互动，因为我的词汇量很有限，而且听力能力还不适应正常的说话速度。
你们的播客节目是我最喜欢的节目，我花了3-5天的时间全面学习1个视频（在播客中标记新词汇并记住它，并在播客中重复对话，直到我可以在不看翻译的情况下真正理解所说的内容）所以我认为每周1个播客是完美的。
关于大叔要求提出新的节目创意我的建议是每个大叔制作一个 vlog 视频，例如制作你们日常活动的vlog视频，或者在进行一些有趣的活动时制作vlog视频，等。学生可以学习实用的日常汉语会话。
Vlog真的是很好的想法，谢谢你，我们大叔昨天有聊到你这个想法，或许在不久的将来会实现！

As one of 同学们 commented, you upload too often. High quality dense contents require more time to digest.
To increase membership, how about reducing the number of free vids or using the first 1/2 or 1/3 part of videos as free contents.
To reduce your labor, how about making some 大叔们 only easygoing 聊天废话 vids.
大量输入的话, high quality is not necessarily required.

@@dashumandarin The content has suffered for it though. That's just my opinion. But keep doing what you're doing if it's working for you all, and you're all making money. I just don't think you can say you spend as much time and/or effort into your original channels as you did before the extra workload of this. Again this is only my opinion, you obviously help a lot of people learn Chinese. It's constructive criticism you can use it (for free) or you can ignore it.
I used to love easy mandarin and Chinese with Ben, I thought was exceptional. I didn't like Chinese with Richard as much but I would hear good things from other people who liked his stuff. Now though the latest two uploads from Chinese with Ben for example are 6 months ago and 2 years ago. One of which is just a lesson he had, not a great video (IN MY OPINION). Even though the channel banner says new videos every week. You surely can't deny you put the same time and energy into your own channels as you once did. I'm sure lots of people think it's better this way, Again I've got to stress this is only my opinion on what content I like and learn best with.
