Celebrating the new year with a new acquisition : 1957 Rolex 6582 on steel/gold bracelet, caliber 1030, arriving tomorrow ! Zephyr. Loving 1950s-1960s Rolex more and more. Happy new year !
I learn a lot from you and I really appreciate the simplicity of your reasoning behind values etc. Here in Cape Town we occasionally get special pieces ,but the market is global now and volumes of truly nice stuff are not here unfortunately . I do wish to learn more about brands like UG for example and some others that are somewhat still under the radar as opposed to Rolex ,Patek,AP and other extremely high end watches which unfortunately most of can’t even dream of . Either way, have a great year ahead - lechaim
100%! However, issue is that nepotic French oligarchs are destroying the 2 brands Tag and Euer. The number of special editions, the marketing, the company, etc is following a terrible already well known path. :( As a Swiss I am bitter and sad.
I can't imagine paying that chunk of change based on condition and then actually wearing it without being nervous of scratching it or banging it or something. That's why I slum it with beat up vintage..... that and I don't have hundreds of thousands of dollars for a watch 😬
nice content, good bloopers! happy new year!!

@@peterock4210 The massive fake scandal at Phillips cannot have helped.
@peterock4210 one reason is the 2915 scandal a few years ago
@@peterock4210i guess the omega scandal and the current zeitgeist
Are those auctions for dealers only? If not, wouldn’t these public sales be retail values?
For everyone! They are usually retail values, yes.

Everyone and their mother has a damn Paul Newman these days

Learning from you still!
I think people have just lost their mind to be that kind of money for your watch thank God I’m not in that boat
You overspend in diff areas and have no problem
Great program
138,000 for that ugly AP
Are people nuts
I wouldn’t want that one for free. I would never wear it.
