I have lived here in Alaska the past 42 years and it still amazes me! Where else on earth you gonna find a coastal fishing town of yakutat, world class spring wild steelhead, then huge silver salmon like you guys caught, brown bears, true wilderness, massive glaciers, a coastal temperate rainforest, and surfing with the tallest coastal mountain range as your backdrop??? Only in Alaska! No place even compares. Simple!😉👍😁
dude... I get it, and it'd apply anywhere else in the US. But in alaska (especially that town)... Its not "blown up". More fish than the number of tourists who can actually take the time and have the money to go visit. If you're worried about the salmon, though, the fight is the bycatch from big trawlers.
They are eating them Renaud. What's the point of catch and release? Fish torture? Better to just not fish than catch and release. Mortality rates on released fish are higher than you think.
Agreed Renaud . What the fuck is this sickening wasteful bullshit? Catching dozens and dozens of massive fish that they will no doubt eat only a fraction of. As a surfer and outdoorsman, this reckless, show-offy bro machismo gives surfers who actually care about the environment and wildlife a bad rep. Good to know what Salty Crew is really about.
@@jblo76 The place that they rented the boat from definitely fillets, vac seals, and freezes the fish. They take them home, they aren't leaving them to rot on the beach.
Man we need more surf films like this
