It's January 1, 2021. Even though it is 2:30 A.M., I knew in my spirit that in order to begin this new year of spiritual growth, and returning to being as faithful to Church as I once was, I needed to hear preaching from the onset. As I scrolled through TH-cam, I felt in my spirit to listen to a great man of God who I was blessed to have as a pastor some years ago, Pastor Jimmy Toney. As other sermons from Gainesville had attention-grabbing titles as Bro. Toney is a craftsman of the art of language, this sermon was like a flashing neon sign. The very word "submission" was like a bright light beckoning me to click on this video. I knew this message would speak to me. I knew before I heard a single syllable that submission has been a recent struggle I had never experienced when I first got in church. I didn't think twice about not submitting almost two decades ago- or even seven years ago. This message is one of those sermons in which I will remember daily as I gleaned so much. I am so thankful that I listened to that still small voice and clicked on a title I knew might be uncomfortable, but I knew I needed. Happy New Year! Here's to a year of not only obedience, but also submission. God Bless! Angie Braden
I needed this, and am reminded of something Brother T. F. Tenny said, "You must always become a child!"
