Hi, what type cable do you use to communicate from PC to PLC? Is it standard LAN Cable?

Yes. Standard RJ45 Ethernet cable, is all you need. The factory default IP address for both NX102 ports are as follows: 192.168.250.1 and 192.168.251.1 . Set your computer’s NIC to the same subnet, (example 192.168.250.12) connect your Network cable between the PC and PLC, and you should be able to set up communication.
Note:make sure VPN isn’t running on your PC.

Hi, should we stop the plc for this change to be loaded to the plc?

To turn on the memory areas in the NX102, you would need do that in your offline project, then set up the FINS net and node addressing (routing table),then do a build, then connect (go online) and synchronize. So the PLC program execution would stop when you synchronize. I hope this answers your question.

Can you tell me please if fins protocol is the same for nj serie as nx serie because i have a software that talk to a nj PLC but doesnt work with nx serie

Yes the FINS protocol is the same, however the CJ memory addressing used by FINS is on by default on the NJ and off by default on the NX. So you will need to enable the CJ memory areas (like CIO, DM, EM...etc) in the NX to give FINS an area it can pass data to.

I dont understand the file system. Why can I not navigate between projects, once I have opened a project?

The file system for Sysmac Studio is a database type structure, not a standard windows file naming system. The Database that holds all your programs is in your Root/Omron (example C:/Omron/) directory. But the filename isn't available within the folders shown. To save as a separate file you must export the project (example: from open project menu File/Export) This will allow you to save your named program as something you can email or place in your own filing system.
If you wish to navigate between 2 or more projects, you will need to open both projects simultaneously, into separate instances of Sysmac Studio. It is possible to cut and paste code from one open instance into another.
I hope this helps. I apologize if I misunderstood your question.
