How should we supply power to our studio monitors? I have presonus eris e8 studio monitors pair with 160 watt consumption by each monitor. Currently the signal flow to my monitors is as follow; studio monitors connected to belkin surge protector and surge protector is connected to an outlet having power through inverter ups. Is this the correct way or should i use another normal ups for studio monitors in order to keep them safe from any damage?
Arijit Saha Thank you. I have a query, I’m connecting an old pc having 8GB ddr3 ram, 500GB HDD and i3 cpu. When i connect my cpu + monitor (vid) + studio monitors and power supply of rode k2 microphone, the system loses it’s power when there’s a powercut. I have connected everything to an 1150va inverter ups having ups mode turned on. At a time the load be from the above mentioned system plus 4 led (64watts), 2 fans. But it simply cuts the power when there’s a power cut and starts my inverter ups after 2-3 sec. I have just installed that inverter ups yesterday with 150ah battery. And i also want to know, whether should i go with amd or intel for a new cpu? I don’t have budget problem and how much max ram should I use? I’ll be running about 15 kontakt libraries and 15-20 other vsts along with transitions, sweeps, uplifters, downlifters and some drums that i will program with one shot samples (not library).

I think it won’t work most plugins are 64 bit these days and you should update your cubase to 11
