- Ukraine’s 24th Brigade took over a Russian trench in Bohdanivka, near Bakhmut. First-person footage shows troops sneaking up on the Russian position. They are spotted, and an intense burst of gunfire breaks out. Ukraine’s men shoot back and succeed in pinning the Russians down. With the Russians suppressed, they are able to move up their attack. They use rifles and grenades to flush the Russian soldiers out. The attack is a success, and the Russian position is eventually captured. Putin’s men have been advancing around Bakhmut in recent weeks. Ukraine lacks the ammunition and manpower to hold all of the frontline. But the Russians aren’t having everything their way, and are taking losses.

sad, but I didn't heard any white flags from those trapped orcs. They had nothing to loose but to try surrender, but they didn't do it. Ukrainians would be happy if they didn't had to waste munition.

@@gwaldman6546 There is a longer version on the reddit combat footage forum. They did take prisoners in this raid. After the thermobaric grenade was thrown inside the dugout, it was rather surprising to see surviving Russians emerge and they were taken prisoner.

It was near city of Chasiv Yar, its very close to Backmut, about 5 km away. The Backmut was taken slowly during 2023, but russians slowed down, even pushed back after taking the city, so there are fights even now

I was a US Marine infantry officer a very long time ago with 3 years in combat. I would have welcomed these Ukraine warriors in my unit anytime as long as they could speak English. These Ukrainian soldiers have the same courage and determination as US Marines. That's the greatest compliment I can give them.
