In the soil of are sadness Hear our hearts bell a serenade A faint choir tenderly shaping A lament a hollow refuge In the blood of the twinkling sky Breathing in air drunk dry There was once a time of rapture All is lost a pale gleaming Across this crooked land Runs a crooked man Our loved ones die under the hammer Of the Soviet sun Nothing can erase this night But there's still light with you rhapsody And if we can never see the sun There's still light with you rhapsody And I have seen all I want to And I have felt all I want to rhapsody, rhapsody But we can dream all we want to We can dream all we want to, rhapsody oh, rhapsody And I have seen all I want to And I have felt all I want to But we can dream all we want to Yes we can dream all we want to Rhapsody In the soil of are sadness Hear our hearts bell a serenade A faint choir tenderly shaping A lament a hollow refuge Rhapsody oh, rhapsody Rhapsody, rhapsody There's still light with you There's still light with you rhapsody It's all we want to, it's all we want to Rhapsody oh, rhapsody Rhapsody
I know. I've seen this before and was wondering if she would try to do all those high notes live. When I was young and she came to NY she didn't perform because of a "throat infection." Girls were crying that day. It was the first Lollapalooza.
Aah, the excitement to come after this performance! Saw them 3 times on The Peepshow tour, and each time was very theatrical and exciting! Something was always happening onstage to complement the extraordinary new music! This tour was supposed to be recorded and filmed, but was given the axe! Would have been a great live album and video-dvd!
Thanks for posting this, Gazely Gaze. I was at that concert. At that time I did not realize, how great this SatB performance really was. Peepshow is much underrated. All songs are classics. Almost all she played at the Hotpoint festival.
I LOVE this song so much. I first fell in love with this song around 89' on a trip to Canada with my family. I bought Through The Looking Glass while there on cassette. Every cassette I bought in Canada was black. I don't know why. I also bought a picture book of Siouxsie. I even went to my mother's house almost 20 years later looking for it, but to no avail.
In the soil of are sadness Hear our hearts bell a serenade A faint choir tenderly shaping A lament a hollow refuge Siouxsie Sioux is such a wonderful lyricist and song writer. I feel that her poetic style is in-tune with Robert Smith's. But both are very different from one another at the same time though. But both are among the very best in Rock and Roll, I believe. Maynard James Keenon being an all-time great one as well. I think anyway.
In the soil of are sadness
Hear our hearts bell a serenade
A faint choir tenderly shaping
A lament a hollow refuge
In the blood of the twinkling sky
Breathing in air drunk dry
There was once a time of rapture
All is lost a pale gleaming
Across this crooked land
Runs a crooked man
Our loved ones die under the hammer
Of the Soviet sun
Nothing can erase this night
But there's still light with you rhapsody
And if we can never see the sun
There's still light with you rhapsody
And I have seen all I want to
And I have felt all I want to rhapsody, rhapsody
But we can dream all we want to
We can dream all we want to, rhapsody oh, rhapsody
And I have seen all I want to
And I have felt all I want to
But we can dream all we want to
Yes we can dream all we want to
Rhapsody
In the soil of are sadness
Hear our hearts bell a serenade
A faint choir tenderly shaping
A lament a hollow refuge
Rhapsody oh, rhapsody
Rhapsody, rhapsody
There's still light with you
There's still light with you rhapsody
It's all we want to, it's all we want to
Rhapsody oh, rhapsody
Rhapsody
Her voice is very good here.💙 This also is one of my favorite tracks off of Peepshow. The album is a work of art...

Amazing….🌌❤️🌈
It's too bad the camera person didn't *zoom-in* on Sioux's face; seeing her facial expressions at a live show is what it's all about.
some for the sound. I appreciate noise cancelling for clarity, but this song is meant to reverberate off the walls
exelent.
Dziękuję Ci za ten wyjątkowy film. Masz cały koncert?
MAGIKAL
Thank you! Do you have the rest of the concert?? 💖
Yes, but someone else has uploaded it, so do a YT search and you should find it.
Unsurpassed
Sad that there is no close up
Indeed! Sad that the camerman couldn't be bothered.
Anybody know who the synth player is?
Siouxsie.Fandom says: Martin McCarrick: cello, keyboards, accordion.
@@GazelyGaze Thank you
