I normally like tipping but I’m hesitant to do it sometimes because I’ve heard from multiple people that work at different locations that more often than not the employer keeps the tips and not the employees

I used to work at a Chipotle like ten years ago, tips would always get evenly split with all the staff at end of shift. I cannot tell you how many times that tip jar saved my life by providing me with gas money to get home and come back to work the next day. Thank you for being generous, I am positive you lifted the weight off of some of those workers shoulders.

I worked at bar along time ago. I chased Thek guy into the parking lot that took our jar. I was taking construction equipment out of their truck until I was given the jar back. They are all kids, first job likely. They don't know how to deal with the situation. It's a good hearted prank but try this with mature business owners the outcome won't be the same.
Sad part is that some of them didn't seem to care too deeply about the tip jar because there was very little in it. Please put a buck in the jar people, it isn't much and if everyone did it they'd have $5-$10 each at the end of the day and that adds up in a month.
I'm a VERY generous tipper most of the time, but in California a fast food worker makes $20 an hour and the prices went up accordingly. I don't tip on top of that for getting me my burger and fries. A restaurant or something where there is additional service...20% minimum.

I watch other youtubers who do similar stuff, and theyre cool but sometimes when they give people money, and the people are so grateful and happy, the youtuber seems like hes faking it like its nothing. idk. like daws is so nice and his reaction to them is so nice and supportive and he seems like a genuine dude.

Did u notice that guy that tried to make himself look bigger while trying to get the tip jar back.
They are all kids, first job likely. They don't know how to deal with the situation. It's a good hearted prank but try this with mature business owners the outcome won't be the same.
Sad part is that some of them didn't seem to care too deeply about the tip jar because there was very little in it. Please put a buck in the jar people, it isn't much and if everyone did it they'd have $5-$10 each at the end of the day and that adds up in a month.
I'm a VERY generous tipper most of the time, but in California a fast food worker makes $20 an hour and the prices went up accordingly. I don't tip on top of that for getting me my burger and fries. A restaurant or something where there is additional service...20% minimum.
