    Tip: When you make your first rectangle for the planet texture, immediately round the corners. This tutorial has a lot of timewasting by having you create the whole thing THEN round them a little bit at a time.
    You should also make a few copies of the planet texture once it's built and coloured. You can have this whole thing created in about half the time. Nice tutorial though.

    Hi, Great tutorial. I have a question about how you got the inner corners to become rounded. When I hold shift to select the corners it only rounds the outside and then I have sharp corners on the inside... any suggestions? Thanks!

    for earlier version: you have to make the warp before clipping mask with the circle
    (that's what I've tried for 15 minutes)

    Why I can't have a round shape when I use fish-eye? I have a square-ish shape, not round. And when am using the selection tool, I can't select the shapes aroung the sphere, the selected shapes are already in the sphere. I used clipping mask, I grouped layers but I still have the problem. Is is a thing about Illustrator version or am I doing something wrong? Or just there a missed steps, which make difference for a newbies...

    So I’ve been trying to finish this tutorial for 10 hours now and I am having the same issue as I had the first time and I’m hoping you can give me some pointers on what it is I’m doing wrong because I’m too frustrated to figure it out anymore. I follow all the steps identically to yours but for some reason whenever I go to envelope distort, then make with warp, then when I click on fisheye it keeps the graph around everything the same as the Arc style. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. Please help if you can..

    • @simona3258
      @simona3258 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the same problem. Try this, before you make a circle and clipping mask, do the warp on what you have. The last thing you do is two rectangles and after that select everything and go to warp and fisheye. After that draw a circle on it, select everything and then you clip it. I hope you understood what i wanted to tell you, english is not my first language. Good luck! :D

    • @RayRay-ou4bl
      @RayRay-ou4bl 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@simona3258 you did a great job explaining! My only question would be before I warp do I group it all together or do I leave them all just ‘aligned’?

    • @simona3258
      @simona3258 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RayRay-ou4bl i think it's okay both ways, you can group it or select all. if you group it and later need to do any adjustments you can just go to objects, expand and then on direct selection tool, or ungroup. But i think it's easier if you just group all together :)

    tbh, worst tutorial. it is way too fast, little information and not synced. example: use the warp tool to make it look sphere. where is warp tool? how much should i "sphere" it? what colors do you use?(the one comment saved you) instead of making it 11 minutes, use 45 minutes. much better, and you can fit much more information on what you use, where to find it, how much, how big, etc. please use this.
