Its a CRIME that André won't be part of that driver squad in the future. André and Kevin have amazing chemistry. At this point he is kinda furniture of WEC and I don't think he should be allowed to leave or just stop driving.
Bro sorry to be rude but he was literally the slowest driver of the 3. He is also the oldest. You can see the difference between him and the other 2. He was a great driver, still a solid driver, but not solid enough for a top calss wec seat
@rickrolled7930 He was the fastest of them in Katar, Japan and Bahrain. He was consistantly faster then Vanthoor everywhere but Le Mans. Yes he is the oldest and Porsche can't build on him for the future beyond one or maybe two more years. So their decision makes sense but it's still a shame. This guy isn't only one of the best drivers of his generation but also just a massive character in the paddock and series.
@@TheNecromancer6666nah mate, Vanthoor was on 80% of the time zur fastest of These 3, except in Bahrain he was probably the slowest but Vanthoor was the fastest and the one who made the less mistakes over the whole season
I'm a Porsche fanboy but they made a HUGE mistake. He may be past his prime but still: You don't want to race against Andre Lotterer, and I'm sure he'll stay in WEC, maybe for Proton, maybe for Hyundai who knows... Congrats to the best driver combo that ever drove in WEC. 👏
Let's petition WEC to put Alexa in the booth and move Anthony Davidson to pit lane reporter. It's the best of both worlds, she's got more charisma and he can just hang out in the Toyota garages with his best friends. Win-win
The WCC point system is SO WEIRD, they should have used like F1 points system where both cars would add points together, rather than which single car can finish higher. Because i calculated, porsche could have won the WCC.
That can't be done because there are teams like Cadillac and Lambo that only have one car, so it wouldn't be fair. It's the best result of the manufacturer in each race that counts
@@LiminalThoughts but it could work in 2025 because they must ran 2 cars According to the FIA: "Another change for 2025 is that Hypercar manufacturers will nominate two cars to score points in the manufacturers’ championship instead of one as is the case currently"
@@roll_and_on_greatest Yeah, that's probably what they are going for for 2025, a F1 style manufacturers system. It's just the system until now gave the liberty of any manufacturer to participate with any amount of cars they wanted without it being unfair.
IRRC, there are no rules regarding how many cars can be run by one team/manufacturer; so essentially, if they applied what you're saying, a rich team can just get 3 or 4 cars on the grid and they'd instantly win the championship.
Ricciardo has said many times that he believes himself to be “above” anything that isn’t F1. Unless he has suddenly humbled himself, I don’t think we’ll be seeing him racing again any time soon.
Past prime Estre, 80 years old Lotterer and the second best Vanthoor are World Champions let's gooo!!!!!! 🐐🐐🐐
The sheer power of that one comment by GoatCiello to manifest a championship for the #6. Thanks GoatCiello 🙏

Maybe Andre will go back to Formula E or racing GT3 again. Who knows.

@leoribo8123 Fastest Stint averages say differently. I get you like Vanthoor, but the Data just doesn't support your claim outside of Le Mans.
Right on ! Porsche Penske Team CHAMPION !!!
*Driver
The difference is, Porsche won the DRIVER’S title, and Toyota won the MANUFACTURERS title. Tis?

Amazing race congratulations Porsche Penske
Consistency is key for Porsche. Great season peak HyperCars long may it continue.
What a team!
EPIC! Congratulations!
Congrats to Porsche. Well deserved

Porsche is only two points behind to win the Hypercar Manufacturer title. It's THAT close!
Congrats
Such a shame Porsche are binning Andre'

BoP Champions
Cry some more
BOP champion is Toyota
Bop Champions in Le Mans is Ferrari
Bop champion is bobmw & every other manufacturer who never had the worst 2nd or 3rd worst bop
ah yes, the Marvel pfp on his endless obsession about Porsche
So which team does Daniel Ricciardo join?
Riccardo still has a contract of some sort with Red Bull Racing, so its not likely to be Porsche 😼
Although Mark Webber joined Porsche - and won the title with them too
