Jazakallah khaira
Please explain this ayah of Surah Fatiha: ٱهۡدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ ٦
Assalamu'alaikum,
Around the 5:18 mark you started reciting from the hamza wasl but you used a dhamma and in another line you used kasra.
Do you have a video explaining the rules of when to use dhamma, fatha and kasra when starting from hamza wasl?
Wa alikom asslam,
Yes, brother.

Jazakallah for the videos. I would just like to ask how do you know what harakat to use when starting from hamza wasl.
wa iyyakum brother.
It's funny subhanAllah .. The answer to your question was part of the video but I took it out of the final product because the video got too long, and it would have been less effective, so I decided to split the lesson into two for maximum benefit in shaa Allah. So there will be a part II in shaa Allah for this video to explain this and other points that I left out, but I'll give you the answer now, and be sure that I'll explain it much better in PART II in shaa Allah:
The answer:
The way you determine the harakat of hamza wasl is by looking at the third letter of the verb:
- If the third letter had dhamma ُ اسجُد then you'll copy it to the hamaza wasl and you'll say اُسجُد
- If the third letter had kasra ِ اصبـِر or fatha استقم then you'll kasrah to hamza wasl
Of course there are some exceptions to this rule, but like I said stay tuned in shaa Allah, and you'll it coming to my channel.
I hope I answered your question.
