It packs up small and I get all my camping gear into one pannier. The biggest negative is the amount of mesh used in the inner tent and the fly doesn't reach the ground making the tent very draughty and cold so it is strictly for warmer months.
REALLY great review. I am sort of stuck between Lonerider and Redverz tent. Was going to buy the Goose but its made in China and I want to avoid that after the fallout with covid19. Cheers mate.

Hi. Thanks for stopping by. I don't have any damage on my moto tent at all. As long as you have solid ground you'll be fine. In wet boggy condition, you may add some extra support under the legs of the cot. You could use the extra floor sheets you have with the tent. The cot I'm using is from Helinox. Strong, sturdy but small and light enough. Pricy though. If you have any more questions, please let me know. Steph

Hi Jon The mototent is my favourite. Space, hight and comfort are much better. It is about 35% bigger when packed, but it doesn't matter really, unless you are straped for space. 👍
Not a bad way to travel. I like a bit more comfort and protection from the elements. But that said, the beauty of traveling on a motorbike is you do what you want. and that can only be a good thing. Tent, tarp or hotel, as long you are not wasting your life sitting at home. Thanks for you comment and ride safe.

It is more convenient I think as it has smaller folded volume and weight and when you drive it is easier to carry it and passenger as well on one bike and you can choose stay with tent or go to hotel... What model of glasses do you have on 0:05?
Good choice! My personal Favourite is the MotoTent. I do appreciate the space. The ADV Tent is the go to on short trips or if I only plan to camp occasionally. My Glasses are Sunglass Frames from Oakley with standard lenses. I found those frames are more durable then standard Glasses and way cooler. 😁
Is the carry bag of this tent water resistant? I mean can I strap it on the bike as is and it'll survive some tough rain, or I need to by a dry-bag for it separately? Thank you!

My only concern is the cooking...not sure if it could be done outside the mesh in the storage space, but it's certainly not ideal. Other than this it looks solid and seems like a good long term investment.

I appreciate a lot your videos but , concerning the tents, it looks like you are a fan of Loan Rider, knowing that there are a lot of other brands having even good or even better tents for a cheaper price. The "Loan rider " is a bit a special one, but, the ADV is nothing special (but more expansive) compared to the competitors..... Vango for example. May be I am wrong, but it looks like Loan Rider is selling at a very high price and that is also the reason why they are not using distributors ..... They are selling in direct without any price promotion or competition between distributors like all the other brands are doing..... I am willing to buy a loan rider tent, but I have the feeling that I will not pay the right price because the lake of competition. Thanks again for your videos.... Alain, from France
Hi Alain. You're making a good point. I'm no LR Fanboy. But I'm a fan of Buy once - buy right. Did you know I'm still using my MotoTent after more than 5 years? It is a quality thing. Have you ever wondered why other brands have to add more and more tents to their product line? You don't need 30 different models. The answer is , the stuff is just not as good and this way you always can buy the next best thing for not much money. Your expectations on a "cheep tent" are not really high and manufactures know that. However, if you buy and more expensive you have higher expectations, and those have to me met buy the manufacturer. So the risk for a manufacturer to put a high price item on the market is much higher. There is no such thing as a free lunch. That is the reality of gear investment. Long term, quality matters. So when you spend your cash you need to know they have your back covered. At LR, you get all the spares for your tent. You pay for premium materials and that's important. And most discount brands with many models are box shifters and the product have a very short life span. There is no value in this product, as it is gone after a season or two. So I should pay the price in advance, which is not on the low side, end could end up buying another tent to have it on time. I plan my travel for start of July, but the word 'estimate' is the problem here...

The small zipper on the side is for Electric Hook up, not hiding items, although I suppose you could
Apparently it's meant for locking things up. I. E panniers. Connected to a helmet or cot. Do they can't just wsl away. Thanks for your comment 👍

Looks like a solid choice for most people. I tend to travel with a tarp and use my ROK straps to stringnit up over my bike. But this looks nice 👍

Hi, thanks for dropping by. Yes the tent comes in dry compression bag. I keep on top of my pannier. Plenty space to pack it easily.
