Fun Fact : The weapon that used by Alffy it's actually a sacred spear from Majapahit Era called "Pataka Sang Dwija Naga Nareswara" and you can see this weapon on The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. And the Dragon it came from the first Wonderland Indonesia called "Antaboga", the Bad Dragon called "Banaspati" and for the 'Bird' it's not an Eagle, It is a "Garuda".

Nusantara is a term that comes from words in Kawi (a form of Old Javanese language that is heavily influenced by Sanskrit), namely (nusa) "island" and (antara) "outside". The term "Nusantara" specifically refers to Indonesia (the Indonesian archipelago), this word was first recorded in the Negarakertagama book to describe the concept of state adopted by the Majapahit kingdom; whose area covers most of Southeast Asia, especially in the archipelago. The name Nusantara was used before the birth of the name Indonesia because of the colonial process
Yes. In Majapahit era, their Kingdom was centered on Java (East Java to be exact). And Nusantara was their term of islands outside of Java, which Majapahit want (and some of them did) conquered and united under their wing. In modern era, this term used by our youth at war time to refer all islands in the archipelago, before we decide the name of Indonesia.

Out of all reactors I've seen, you're the only one pointing out the bird watching over the land (Nusantara). Because the bird is representing our Garuda Pancasila, the Indonesian national emblem. It symbolizes knowledge, power, bravery, loyalty and discipline. Garuda was venerated as the lord of all flying creatures. Of course, they modified it, as Garuda Pancasila is considered as a sacred national emblem, and not allowed to be used for commercial/personal purpose. As long as Indonesians still believe in Garuda Pancasila, we will stand united as a nation.
And the last song, "Mengheningkan Cipta" (A Moment of Silence) is one of my favorite national songs, not only because of its melody, but it also has simple yet poetic words.

Indonesia's flag, red and white --> red represents blood, physical body, the Earth, female energy; white represents 'white blood' (semen), the spirit/soul, the Sky, male energy. nusantara is Indonesian archipelago name in the old time.
around century 12-15 theres an empire name majapahit (that sun is empire emblem).
majapahit unite this land in the past, and peoples live peacefully.
but from 15 century it the start of colonization ( i think that red dragon )
after struggle and fighting it become Indonesia country.
Indonesia emblem is garuda bird.

If you look the burnned symbol at 15:41 it's the symbol of the Majapahit Kingdom, the largest kingdom in the archipelago of Nusantara (now Indonesia), the kingdom collapsed during the brothers war period with another kingdom in Nusantara (sybolism with 2 dragon was fighting), and then colonial period come (dragon with 2 head means Dutch and Japan colonialism) and all kingdom in Nusantara collapsed. 15:44 a song to commemorate the struggle of Indonesian heroes against colonialism (we always sing this song in flag ceremony with the national anthem). 19:20 the bird called Garuda with 5 emerald balls at the gate it's the Symbol of Indonesia (called pancasila means 5 Indonesia's foundation to be a diverse country). so this video tell us the story about Nusantara from kingdom (Majapahit) become a country (Indonesia).
