So proud of you for sharing your whole story Meg. I’ve read all your blogs (that’s what put me in touch with you all those years ago). Crazy the way our lives turn out and how quickly they can change course. My “Chapter 1 moment” was the simple act of pushing an ottoman under a coffee table. Nuts how something so small as catching a football or cleaning a room can propel our whole lives into a different direction. Sending you hugs my friend!
I know this is an extremely late response. It's very humbling knowing you read all of my blogs. There's a lot of them. I agree 100% with how insane it is that something so small can trigger our body's & all of a sudden we're living a different life. Continue to stay strong. Gentle hugs!
I'm sorry for all you've been through but I understand somewhat. I live in Michigan so we get a lot of ice ... well, my chapter 1 was a slip on black ice and my feet went completely out from under me and I came crashing down. I just saw a spine surgeon yesterday and I'm looking at fusions in more than one spot on my spine.
I know this is a very, very late response. How are you doing? Did you end up having to undergo further surgery on your spine? Sounds like your chapter 1 was very painful.
Kind of an ambiguous questions. I jumped to catch a football, landed hard/wrong on my R leg, damaged my R ankle/R knee/R hip. That led to a domino effect of injuries, multiple surgeries on my shoulder blades & shoulders, eventually a diagnosis with a connective tissue disorder (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), severe damage to my spine. A life of athletics was traded for a life of medical the past 17 years.
There’s power in the name of Jesus Christ turn to him for your healing. He is full of love full of compassion there is a purpose for your suffering. Everything you have been through is not in vain God loves and cares for you unconditionally. Jesus Christ is love.
Unbelievable - how you’re walking around is a miracle.
I do not take it for granted. There's so much that has happened & I'm grateful I'm still walking.

Absolutely. He is good & I've seen Him work so much good through the suffering/hardships that I've endured. None of it is for nothing.
