And to think, there's a chance to set up either a Banda Sinaloense or a Banda Oaxaqueña (the styles and repertory are different!) from within the talent pool of the band. Hell, if band management were thinking about the future, they should do this as a service to the community (a very good PR move, I think) as well as to increase recruiting from within LA County. (I was a Band Parent for eight years [with the t-shirt to prove it] and been a Bruin For Life [with the diplomas to prove it]!).
This is amazing!! As a former member of both of these ensembles I applaud the efforts of whomever made this happen!
