I remember seeing this episode on its “encore broadcast, which I figured out would have been Thursday 7/12/1979. (I did not see most of season 10 during its original broadcast.) It’s like this:(and with my hyperthymesia, it’s not surprising at all): fall 1978, when SS season 10 premiered, my brother and I discovered the Woody Woodpecker Show, which we found ourselves liking.(Plus I thought it would be a good opportunity to start weaning ourselves off Sesame Street, since of course we both were kind of old for it anymore). I was 9 and he was 8 fall 1978. Then when the Woody woodpecker show went off the air for awhile spring 1979, shortly after my tenth birthday, unfortunately I regressed to Sesame Street(thus I saw the encore broadcast of Sesame Street.) However, as I’ve said I finally decided to give up Sesame Street as a New Year’s resolution going into 1980, as I was 10 1/12 and definitely too old for it anymore. I also decided to give up Electric Company as well(that was when TEC was airing two year rerun cycles of the final two seasons.) This episode originally aired on Thursday, January 11, 1979.
Maria is slightly incorrect @ 9:57, as there are different constellations in the Southern Hemisphere(only visible below the equator), the famous Southern Cross, for example, which appears on the 🇦🇺 Australian flag. I like to refer to it as “the Big and or Little Dippers of the Southern Hemisphere,” being equally famous. Anyway, if the Count really isn’t convinced he’s counted all the ⭐️ stars in the universe, then he should consider taking a trip someplace in the Southern Hemisphere.
