    I’m piecing together a previously stolen 09 tmax. Your videos have helped tremendously because I can watch and see what it’s supposed to look like. And what hardware goes where. Thank you sir.

    Looks good. Do keep in mind that those clamp-on style wiretaps tend to have problems over time. You may want to consider going back in soldering the connection. In the future I really like the PosiTap piercing style taps. They seem to last a lot longer

    Hey man, i have been following you for a while and i have used your tmax installation videos a lot. The best thing to do is to install a malossi overrange pack or just the variator. I have a simular setup to yours but with the malossi variator and it's a beast. The malossi variator keeps the revs in the range where the bike makes peak power and this has been the biggest improvement for me. Thanks for making these awesome videos :)

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually installed a variator before the exhaust, fiilter and fuel controller. Just didn't do an install vid because I already have CVT service stuff up that basically covers it. I'm going to do a vid later about all of the mods with results. Yeah, the variator transforms it.

    Another great video Brent, i wasn't even aware this controller existed, but now i have to get one haha.
    I have the same Yoshi system as you ( though luckily mine fit without any issues, and like you, i dropped my DB killer mounting screw inside the muffler end cap the first time i tried to install it 🤣) and a K&N panel filter, and definitley notice bogging on initial acceleration.
    Also, tuning was one of the main reasons i was on the fence about going the Malossi 560cc kit, but with this little doohickey i sould be able to get a decent improvement from the kit.
    Thanks again for the solid info.

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There won't be a dyno. Acceleration testing... but don't worry, you'll be able to see a difference. No cams.

    Almost surprised you didn't go microsquirt route. But this will be a good video regardless :)

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sometimes simple is better IMO. This is not intended to be a race bike. I just want it a little faster for regular riding. DynoJet has the tuner for the TMAX 500 on sale (prob because not very many people in the US are riding/modding them) nearly $100 less and can build your own fuel tables, but I was hoping for plug and play.

    • @X7rocks
      @X7rocks ปีที่แล้ว

      @@49ccscoot definitely understand the plug and play aspect! Microsquirt needs so much wiring and other items just to control the engine and is quite a pain in itself. Loving the video so far bud, and always appreciate the detail you go through to show a clean installation.

      The best would be to get a dyno tune. Next best is probably to do it as shown in the video with a wideband. Even without the wideband, if you can track performance accurately at a track or with a dragy, you can dial full throttle in based on best results at least.

      @49ccscoot  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@freakyo9367 Take it to a dyno to get them to dial it in then. That would probably be the best way. You could make small changes to the High dial and test with acceleration runs to see what makes it faster. The other dials would be set based on how it reacts while riding at lower throttle positions to make sure it doesn't surge or stumble.

  • @anduandu2723
    @anduandu2723 ปีที่แล้ว

    How to set the dials for full power?

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  ปีที่แล้ว

      Your best bet is a dyno and fiddle with the dials till you see the most power. Short of that, you can see how I did it in the video.
